Why are you describing them as "lily" white? Is that relevant to this discussion?

Has it been mentioned that he was gainfully employed full time by Deloitte? Did he have access to classified information?

As a mid 50s white female with a Ph.D., I held a security clearance but with no prior military experience. Deloitte was always out of reach for me. They wouldn't even grant me an interview.

I specifically said “domestic terrorism,” which is defined as: “the committing of terrorist acts in the perpetrator's own country against their fellow citizens.” The 9/11 perpetrators were not domestic terrorists.

It’s not in dispute. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that his act was ordered by ISIS or was part of a larger plot. If you read more about him, you will see he was a troubled individual. I think that factor is more important than his political beliefs. ISIS counts on people adhering to its ideology outside of larger plots and it encourages this behavior online. That’s one of the reasons it’s so dangerous. Same with the NYC truck attack.
