He thinks he can exploit this to grift and get re-elected, so no, he won’t leave.

Even those of us who didn't want him to run for another term will rally around him - or any other Republican nominee.

Alvin Bragg will now be the face of the resistance and Democrats in general.

This will backfire bigly for Bragg and for Democrats.

So, enjoy your little "victory" now, because it will not be long-lived.

I’m a Dem and I don’t think any of us sees this as a political victory.

You sure have us fooled with some of the responses by DCUM's finest.

It’s NYC. Who didn’t expect this? I personally think they will be able to jail him because….NYC.

Did it ever occur to you that Trump might actually be guilty of many, many crimes?

No, they won't. When Alvin Bragg decides to reduce over 50% of the felony charges in his city to misdemeanors, there is no way he can justify that.
He can't really justify this indictment.

Did it ever occur to you that Alvin Bragg is overstepping and will end up looking like a partisan hack?

Doesn’t matter. What matters is whether or not China will see this chaos as an opportunity to invade Taiwan and drag us into WWIII

I mean...BFD? There aren't enough Republicans to move that needle. You think Independents are going to rally around him? Will he even convince Republicans that they can trust the voting process this time so that they show up and wait in lines?

I'm not going to lie. I thought this day would never come.

I still find it quite interesting how the republicans want to be tough on crime… as long as the criminal is black or brown.

I see it as a victory for justice. Donald Trump is corrupt to his core and I am thrilled that he is getting what he deserves and I hope he is convicted and goes to prison and in in general population!

Same here.

Still convinced he won’t see a day of prison time.

Remember when California originally tried to strengthen its gun control laws under Ronald Reagan?

Uh, it wasn't because of a sincere desire to limit guns among all people. Just, you know, "some people".

So just spinning this out - does this guarantee him the R nomination? Like are Rs that self-destructive?

Twitter makes it look so - a lot of people saying they'd been considering D but now of course it's T and only T. But Twitter isn't real life. On the other hand, for the Rs Twitter kind of is real life?

I don't know!
