Agree. Democrats are SO jealous.

She's absolutely stunning! For a NJ housewife. I would not trade my forehead for her 2-head at all.

Jealous? Well, no not at all. But as a Dem, we won't threaten to rape her or kill her like you do our pretty female politicians.

Teresa Giudice vibes.

She's been trolling us all along

Would love to hear from the posters who insisted three pages back that she's not "signaling" anything with her clothes.

Also, ten years from now I think it will be crystal clear that calling things "woke" was just a racist, sexist, and homophobic dog-whistle and people will be embarrassed that they threw the term around the way they did.

No, the people using that kind of language are the same kind of people in Germany who “didn’t know what was happening.” They always absolve themselves.

Oh, please. Can we go back to clothes and fashion and you open another thread a few blocks down with your moralizing.

Sure.

The people over on the politics thread who said she looks like a drag Queen were right. She looks like she’s in drag. It’s campy and not very effective and in a cis woman looks completely mental.

A lot of women aspire to look exactly like her and will dress in a similar fashion even if she didn't exist. For me as a foreigner she looks very American. Her dressing might be kitchy, but it's not camp in any way. That would be a compliment.

It's because you are not a native that you can't see that she looks American (-1960-70s) not American ( 21 century.) It's a great look when you're playing to the cheap seats in the theater.

It’s because you are not a professional designer that you can’t imagine that your views on style are still amateur.

Heh. Sorry, what?

As a die-hard Dem - the one who started this thread in fact - I think I can summarize the general sentiment among our type as:

- Boy she's very pretty!
- But what a STRANGE way to dress. Does it... mean something? Or does she just like to dress as if she's been a Disney princess understudy for 20 years and is still hoping today's her day, and who cares what anyone makes of it?
- But there's that reporting that she asks people what Melania would wear and tries to copy that.
- Does she think this is how Melania dresses? Wow, she really knows nothing about clothes.
- What's strange is that even when she's wearing an objectively nice outfit - like that pantsuit in Japan - she still manages to make it look... weird. What is that? Is it the caked on makeup, the Barbie shoes, the shellacked hair? Or is it something that emanates from her personally - a sort of playing a character inauthenticity, that manages to seep through?
- Her nasty, evil, weird husband is her worst accessory, by far.
- What's with the gloves?

A fine oxymoron.

They got married at Disney world and were obsessed with Disney back in the day, so it does make sense that she channels this type of a look. She definitely needs a better stylist stat. I am not a fan of Donald Trump but even I can admit that Melania had excellent taste and style as first lady.

Of course she is a Disney adult

I think “where woke goes to die” is a fun riff on Florida as a retirement destination.

Yes, liberals hate women who are attractive. That's why we think her capes are weird. It's definitely not that the capes are weird

She constantly overdresses and girl LOVES a cape. Its funny that they are trying for generational change when they are purposefully signaling to the older voters. They are just putting a visual to "MAGA".

What on earth are you talking about? They aren't "signaling" to anyone. And she looks very cute in the above picture. You people really need to grow up.

NP

She dresses like a Donna Reed/Jackie O. wanna be. She is absolutely signaling that she and her husband want to take the US back to the "good old days" when women and minorities and immigrants and queers knew their place. Her fashion is absolutely the embodiment of MAGA.

Well, when your husband has offended every single gay person in your state, which includes the stylists and glam squad, what did you think you were going to end up looking like?

Ah hahaha! Love

When you are the First Lady of Florida but you and your husband don’t spend enough time there to take a photo on a real beach.
Dress isn’t bad though. Terrible accessory.

OMG. This is SO bad!

Not a fan of the dress either but it's not terrible. I'm not into huge florals.

Did they or their team release this? It's an awful, obvious fake.

He also looks like he’s 14. What a bizarre picture.

What’s wrong with his attire? I can’t tell if it’s too large, or just makes him look enormous, or is too crisp and pressed for his “walk on the beach.” Something is off.
