Roe v Wade struck down

Thoughts and prayers for the white women in red states who now have to cross state lines to have an abortion because they voted for this travesty.

Republicans define "Life" worth saving as an embryo or fetus in the uterus. Once that "Life" is born it's on its own.

Or not being able to get a D&C at 8 weeks.

Even for women that have no complications, I expect red states will require doctors to report information to state authorities for monitoring. They're going to try to catch women who use abortion pills, go out state, use unlicensed abortion providers, etc., and to do that they will sweep up everyone's medical information. And they will most certainly make mistakes that turn into prosecutions of women who didn't get an abortion. Women who think they are safe because they would never get an abortion are kidding themselves.

We can only hope that enough of those women who have chosen this for other women get to die by their own hand, in a sense, so that the GOP’s losses this November are so severe and so lasting that this fascist decision marks the beginning of the end of the GOP.

Women are going to die. I would prefer that those who have internalized misogyny and voted to support the patriarchy and keep women in a second class state are the ones to die vs those who voted otherwise (or were, by dint of being brown and Democratic, were prevented from doing so).

I will not shed a tear for them when they die or end up in prison.

The way this gets fixed is to base this on liberty, not privacy. Both arguments were offered in Women v. Connecticut which was one of the cases in arid. The justices picked the wrong one.

Too bad you weren't one of them. I'm for retroactive abortion.

The world doesn't need more children. We have already been fruitful and multiplied and filled the earth.

As someone who grew up outside the United States, I think there is a reality that many Americans do not want to admit. This country is really a collection of many different countries with different cultures. I lived in both very conservative and liberal states and the differences in terms of cultural views are quite big. While I want to be optimistic about this country remaining a strong federal republic, the cultural issues that affect this country today really seem to have binary (for/against) positions. Americans always point to other countries and their divisions and in the process praised the way they have managed to always compromise. It is true up to now this has been the case. Being a federal republic is not easy and I think we are seeing the challenges....

I don't agree the way that Roe was decided but:

- I think that stare decisis is an important judicial philosophy; and
- I think think that the 10th amendment gives rights to the people that are overlooked in Roe

Just because Roe was not the most soundly written piece of judicial writing doesn't mean it should be overturned. The court doesn't re-write or overturn every single opinion just because it was written in a. way or through framing that the justices disagree with.

I dreamt I died because of pregnancy complications last night. I knew this was coming. Time to get the tubes tied.

Typical liberals, don’t get what they want so they riot. One of these days we’ll get tired of you and riot right back at you.

You lost the first Civil War, you'll lose this one. The rioting phase is over, time for the guillotines.

Democrats lost the first Civil War, and just lost this battle...

To be fair, abortion has killed more lives than ay naturel disaster

No it hasn't. abortion just remove a mass of cells, no lives there .

Wrong. Watch the tiller documentary where the abortion doctors admit they are taking lives when they perform an abortion. They just think the woman’s preference and autonomy trumps the infant’s life.

There are those of us who will continue to work to make sure those lives are respected. We will not rest, not now, not ever.

Again you are a fool. That clump of cells is not having conscious thought. Not happening in there. It can’t even exist without major life systems support. If it can’t think doesn’t have a heart can’t think because it doesn’t have a brain can’t eat can’t walk can’t function. It isn’t a being yet.
If those lives are so precious why agree to having everyone having guns that kill in milliseconds. Why not have wrap around support for families.
You don’t care about lives or people.
You care about being correct.
So very sad that you dedicate your life to this cause when people real people flesh and blood suffer everyday.
Yet you turn a blind eye to these people, not giving support to the ones who need it.
Do something for the world.
Support the people who actually exist.
Support health care for people who are here.
Support gun free schools where kids aren’t afraid to go to school.
Support healthy meals for all.
For babies and children who are HERE. In this world. Rather than mythical promise.
It is a strange cause to hold your self to.

So why do the doctors admit they are killing someone? You … and I… after all are just clumps of organized cells. Once those “clump of cells” with a heartbeat are here… they are children who exist. That’s why the abortoonists have to “terminate” it.

And the accusation that pro life people don’t give support to people in need is just ignorant and untrue. Unbelievably false. . Or the idea that if your prolife you are a gun toting conservative.

FU. You people don't give a sh!t about children once they're born. You consistently vote against social safety nets. You consistently vote against common sense gun laws. You think the right to own a gun is more important than the right for a 5 year old to live his life without being shot to death. There are 424,000 children in foster care right now in the US. Where are the cons stepping up to adopt them? Nowhere.

Wow. Can you be any more hyperbolic?

You have such disdain for people who believe that babies should have a chance at life.

Oh, do tell about your support for assistance to women and families after they have those babies. Or how you support reasonable gun restrictions, so that those babies aren't innocently killed while in school? No? Oh, right, you only care about "babies" when they are in the womb or just at the point of crowning.

The GOP hates women.
