It’s inefficient and unnecessary. |
Right. FCPS is all about efficiency. That’s what this is all about. |
Who cares? TALK TO YOUR OWN KIDS if you have issues with these things. You think b/c they are not getting "gender identity" content formally from the school that they aren't hearing about it? I mean, that's kind of adorable that you think so. But, I assure you it is NOT the case. Why can't you people just opt out of the stuff you don't like? Or go private or homeschool? Why do we have to cater to the ignorant, the people afraid to talk with their kids . . . . god, I'm so sick of you. |
Same here. We discussed all of this early, openly, and often. And I'm glad as my DC was hearing about "blowjobs" by 4th grade, courtesy of her classmates. |
EXACTLY. How does FCPS have so many parents like this? Or are they really external agitators… |
I’m convinced it’s only a handful of agitators on the other side. Why not put this to a vote if you are so sure this is what parents want? |
I told my rising 7th grader that they are thinking about having FLE with boys and girls together and he said he's glad he's not going to be a 6th grader. IOW, he was horrified too. |
Why can't these things be opt in, so you and the other radicals can have your daughters discuss erections and periods with their male classmates? If this were opt in, they would need only one teacher to teach the half dozen kids whose parents want this coed environment. |
My high school kids were horrified too. |
They have also said that the kids feel all of this is overkill and too much information at too young an age. |
Because of trans kids and this ridiculous gender identity crap. |
I personally feel most parents would vote against combining genders. |
| I’m voting straight Republican for the next school board vote. |
That’s part of the frustration. School board is supposed to be not affiliated with any party but that’s changed over the years. Now we need to vote in people (parents?) who actually know WTF they are talking about and have genuine interest in the education of children and respect for teachers. This current school board has neither. |
School Board members where I am from were required to have students in the district. I think all school board members should have a background in education or have a child currently in the system. |
