DP. But yes. The egg thing came up pretty early on in our family when kids could see mom has her period. Erections came up in late ESs. STDs came up not much later.

We have always been open and honest about bodies, reproduction, etc.

Same here. We discussed all of this early, openly, and often. And I'm glad as my DC was hearing about "blowjobs" by 4th grade, courtesy of her classmates.

Why can't these things be opt in, so you and the other radicals can have your daughters discuss erections and periods with their male classmates?

If this were opt in, they would need only one teacher to teach the half dozen kids whose parents want this coed environment.

That’s part of the frustration. School board is supposed to be not affiliated with any party but that’s changed over the years. Now we need to vote in people (parents?) who actually know WTF they are talking about and have genuine interest in the education of children and respect for teachers. This current school board has neither.

School Board members where I am from were required to have students in the district. I think all school board members should have a background in education or have a child currently in the system.
