No one is trash talking DCU to improve their situation. To think that shows how weak your reasoning and logic actually is. People trash talk DCU here because they fully deserve it and to save other parents from finding these things out about DCU the hard way through wasting precious time in their son's career. Like you're doing... |
| ALL MLS clubs connected to a professional academy utilize the protected list. The lists are updated at certain points during the year. |
You are repeating the same information we already know. Only 3 clubs had a majority of their tags used on 2012’s in this latest update. The majority did not tag any 2012’s. Two of them don’t start until U15 meaning they don’t invest. What investment are these few clubs recouping by tagging these players other than acting like a mob boss and forcing the families into submission? Nobody is arguing the MLS rules. Yet, Philly tags no one and DCU tags a bunch of 2012’s. Is it ethical or fair to the community you serve to not invest 💩 and then obstruct kids from moving to coerce them into your academy or recoup an investment you never made when they don’t want to be there? Do you have any other response other attacking my character? You’ve been there and done that enough 🙄 |
Not the pp you're writing to but you're right in what you say. It is wrong. All MLS clubs utilize the protected lists and rules in some way to their benefit. And these protected lists are wrong on their face. But, as with everything else connected to DCU, the way they use the rules is crappier than their peers. And this is limiting the advancement of players in our area for no other reason than pure greed and because they can get away with it. Because it is within the rules it doesn't make it right. Some clubs have ethical and moral standards that drive their actions. DCU doesn't. It is a souless, inept organization that is terrible in all it does. Academy especially. If you're expecting DCU to do the right thing with respect to player rights in our area you've got a big problem on your hands. Just another reason, among many, why DCU is THE major problem with the development pathway in our area. |
Those 2012 tags are officially signed with dcu for their u15 year next year. Can you read? |
And the sooner people realize this, the sooner they can hold the organization more accountable to the kids in our region. Because as it stands today, DCU is a major roadblock to a player from the DMV when it should be a springboard. |

The response given when you don't know what you're talking about... |
Show us the Philly Union full protected list Prove there are no 2012’s on their full entire list You're yapping about no 2012’s being on the Latest update. That doesn't mean there are none. Provide the entire protected list of Philly Union or shut up You're like a teen with an unhealthy crush on Philly and obsession with DCU |
Wow, it really did a number on you when they rejected your kid |
My children are grown adults...nice try. |
Show ANYTHING that proves DCU is a good academy...🥱 |
Why the fixation on 2012 BY? Have the older kids named on +5 been with those academies? The MLS should not have a rule that limits kids' choice if they've never even played for that academy, period. It shouldn't matter how old they are. |
Ask the fixated obsessed one |

Apparently based on the many posts by the anti-dcu guy grinding her axe
Of the thousands of boys playing soccer on hundreds of clubs in America, the worst place a soccer player can be is the DC United Academy This is quite astonishing. Thank goodness my kid isn't on a level to get recruited there. Life ending it seems |
