Student loans, retirement, taxes..where does it all go!?
|
| Go away trolly polly!!! |
+1 |
No troll. Everyone in that income range on here understands. It's not a lot of money. Especially in DC/NoVa. |
| we're off to the races now! |
It is a lot of money. Even in this area. |
|
For gawd's sake, I'm raising three kids as a SAHM on $120K and I feel middle class.
Get over yourself. |
We when made that much, we didn't feel like that. You are crazy. |
| That would give me an additional net $120k a least. I could literally do every single thing I wanted with that much money. |
There is an identical thread discussing the identical HHI that's been going on for weeks. "Disappointed with lifestyle" or some such. |
350k is only 180k after taxes (federal, state) 180k/12 = 15k/month. Student loans of 4k/month, rent, retirement , tithe, schooling . Not a lot left. It's definitely middle class lifestyle. |
| So is $250k poor? This thread is ridiculous! |
A lot of middle class people don't save a lot for retirement, etc . A lot of them still manage to tithe though, weirdly. |
For us, it's two kids on $106 and while I don't feel particularly rich, I do not feel poor. |
I support a family of five on $160k. I guess we are just one step above welfare, huh? Some of you DC people are seriously out of touch.
