Are you glad Frank Wolf is gone

are you also embarrassed that he was professional politician since 1980 for virginia.

National Rifle Association gives him a A- and the American Civil Liberties Union gives him a 0%.

I never voted for him.

Who voted for Frank Wolf and the other NRA lunatics?

are you glad he will be soon be gone?

Yes. His seat will definitely be vulnerable.
Anonymous
No. He is a terrific Congressman who stands for what he thinks is right.
Anonymous
No. He is an honest, hardworking Member of Congress. Not flashy, just solid.

OTOH, I hope the Dems win the seat.

That probably sounds a lot better if you agree with what he thinks is right.

If you are "embarrassed " by a moderate republican. You are a fringe loonatic.

John Faust was a total do-nothing as the Dranesville Supervisor, who sucked up to wealthy real estate developers. I would be happy if he were gone from the BOS although I expect Comstock will win. Wolf is a decent human being.

+1 Frank Wolf has been my congressman as long as I can remember and I am extremely sad to see him go. I am 41 and grew up here in Northern VA (McLean). I remember him talking to my 7th grade Social Studies class on the steps of the capital on a field trip into DC. We were a small Catholic school and it was very nice of him to make the time to speak to us. He was a principled man who knew how to work with people on any side of the aisle. He is not one of the johnny-come-latelys who are elected by extreme, gerrymandered districts. I miss the good old days when people in Congress actually moved here, with their families, and became a part of the community. This flying into DC on Monday afternoons or Tuesday mornings, sleeping in your office, and then flying out on Thursday afternoons only lends itself to more lunatics without a stable foundation in their family or the community, or who know how to work with one another.

Thanks for your service, Congressman Wolf. You are and always have been a great man.

Agree with your thoughts on Faust. Comstock is the best candidates for one who will serve in the style of Wolf. She and her family grew up in my church and so I have run into them in many occasions. She will serve us well. Let's just get her elected first!

Elected in the Reagan revolution of 1980, Mr. Wolf has been a steadfast advocate for many conservative causes. He has opposed abortion, same-sex marriage, adoptions by gay couples and many gun-control measures.

time for Frank Wolf to get a real job and have to go to work. given he has been in office for over 30 years, he will probably not have to work again and live off the lard of the great falls/mclean types.

another true republican for the ages.

Time for him to get a real job? He is 75 years old. I am pretty sure he can retire now.

I guess you don't care about all of the principled work he has done on human rights in China and other countries over the years?

If you like Comstock, then you must have been right at home with the Bush/Cheney/Scooter/Rumsfeld crowd. It is amazing looking back to see how incompetent they were, Biggest Recession in history, with a banking crisis of epic proportions, after 12 years of economic growth. Add in the optional war on Iraq and the mis-management of Afghanistan. Obama inherited an economic disaster. 2008 was not that long ago.

Comstock has occupied a variety of political roles, including lead investigator for the House Government Reform Committee in the 1990s, opposition researcher, crisis manager, and chairwoman of Scooter Libby's legal defense fund. While chairing Scooter Libby's legal defense fund, she leaked several bits of partisan nonsense to the press, allegedly attempting to taint the jury pool. The judge was very upset with Barbara Comstock and threatened her with a gag order.

Barbara Comstock said the supporters would serve on an advisory committee for a private group organized to aid in Mr. Libby’s defense, to be known as the Libby Legal Defense Trust. The supporters are most likely to assist in both organizing the fund-raising drive and providing money themselves. Among others who have committed to the effort are Howard Leach and the lobbyist Wayne Berman, who were fund-raisers for President Bush’s political campaigns; Bill Paxon, the former Republican congressman from New York; former Ambassadors Mel Sembler and Dennis Roth; Richard Carlson, president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting from 1992 to 1997; the magazine publisher Philip Merrill, who is also a former president and ex-chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.

No comparison with the incompetence of our current administration. Leaking the Chief of Station in Afghanistan? Wow.

What? how can anyone that has been in congress for 34 years be principled??? he boggled the gun violence issue, voted for the gov shutdown and then ran away from the gov shutdown, voting for it and then against it, we heard that before from kerry but Wolf did it on a completely bogus issue.

The man had 34 years to do some good, during his time, the budget deficit has gone out of control. Even with a republican president and a republican house, Wolf would do NOTHING to solve the budget issues.

He simply pandered to the fed workers in the area.
