VC Andrews fans - guess what's on tomorrow!

Just saw a preview for Petals on the Wind tomorrow night on Lifetime!!! Super psyched! Looks like most of the same actors they used for Flowers in the Attic - not the greatest, but can't wait to see it anyway !

FitA was soooooo bad. Obviously, I'll watch this one, too.

So excited! Recording FitA when it comes on too. Saw it before, but I want to see it again.

I am the hugest V.C. Andrews fan...Really, I am...I have read ALL her books since high school, yet I honestly think the movies do not do the novels any justice. Just my opinion.

The books are awesome, yet the movies are lame.

However, if I am really bored tonight and have absolutely nothing to do and nothing is on the telly....Well then I just might turn on Lifetime....

Stay tuned.

I think most movies don't do their novels justice so you have to take them with a grain of salt. The Flowers on the Attic remake was far better than the first movie with the girl shoving the cookie in the mom's face saying "Eat the cookie! Eat the cookie!"

Thanks for posting, OP, or I would've missed it. Petals on the Wind and If There Be Thorns were my two favorites in the series. So far, it's about as melodramatic as is to be expected but watchable. I think better than the one that was on a few months ago. I'd forgotten a lot of the plot details

Soo...Anyone see Petals on the Wind tonight? I missed it. I was sleeping?

Yay or nay?

Those message boards are really annoying.

They started a re-air at 7 and I am watching. It has very little to do with the book and I am pretty pissed off about it. But it is still entertaining.

You can view it online too. I'm going to record it later any way and watch it tomorrow.

Best comment on there:

"This movie was like if you took the actual book and made a cliff notes version and then took the cliff notes version and a made a cliff notes version of the cliff notes version and then finally made a movie of that."

I actually liked it better than FITA!

omg these movies are doing a disservice to the books! and that's not saying much

Yay, of course. It's pretty bad, but not completely unwatchable. It's just a melodramatic story, played a little woodenly. But, while I usually dislike Heather Graham, she's great in these movies! Unfortunately her part was fairly small in this one.

It's been so many long years since I've read VC Andrews, but even as a teenager I thought the books were pretty tawdry (fun, but so over the top). So I can't see how some people think the movies do a disservice to the books. There's no way to make turn these movies into something they're not!
