Why did I not realize 15 years ago that I could make bacon mess free and so easily in the oven, rather than frying it on the stove while keeping constant watch on it, turning it, and splattering grease everywhere? WHY?
|
| The microwave is super easy and it gets crispy. |
| Love roasting bacon in the oven! |
| Does it spatter up your oven with bacon grease? |
Nope, not at all |
|
But you need at least 2 cookie sheets per lb.
It is messy, lots,of grease. But you don't have to "tend" to it. I went back to stove top? |
| Oven with the broiling pan. Grease falls to bottom tray, which I line with foil. |
Do you cover it? |
No. Doesn't need it. |
It's the best way to make bacon. Line a baking tray (the kind with the raise sides, not the flat cookie sheet kind) with foil. Apply bacon. Bake at 375 for around 10 minutes, turning half way. Move bacon to paper towel lined plate. Clean up consists of carefully balling the foil up and pitching into the trash. |
| My favorite way to cook bacon is on my Foreman Grill. All the grease collects in the little tray and it's easy to pour into a bag/jar to dispose of. The little plates on the grill just go in the dishwasher. |
| We just use the precooked bacon these days-- 30 seconds in the microwave. |
that stuff is pretty gross though |
| Hands down the best baconnis bacon cooked in a cast iron pan over a gas stove. |
| How do they cook bacon at those fancy hotel breakfast buffets? Cause that's how my kids want it at home. |
