Blake Lively- Jason Baldoni and NYT - False Light claims

It would strengthen her claim that the sexual harassment allegations are legitimate and that he created a toxic environment on set.

But they aren’t using the term harassment but uncomfortable which will be examined closely.

Sounds like the girls are ganging up on Justin. Blake convince them into thinking it was an ‘uncomfortable’ environment.

It was unusual for Lively to include all those texts messages in her initial complaint and then all the stuff in Baldoni's complaint, especially the timeline, was very nonstandard.

So I would encourage people to focus on the allegations and not so much on what "evidence" is in the complaints. Also it appears that Lively's team is choosing to withhold anything that would identify certain people by name, likely because they plan to seek to keep names redacted during the discovery process (for instance, by having people submit testimony under pseudonyms). So that is likely why they are choosing not to produce documentation of the other HR complaints they are alleging. I do think these complaints exist, and that the responses from Wayfarer/Baldoni exist, because I don't think these lawyers would allege this without some basis.

I don't think the "HR complaints" floating around are real but wonder if they might be based on real docs. If they are real, I don't think they came from Lively's team because I don't think they would release them to these very pro-Baldoni creators who have been do critical of Lively previously, knowing they'd get a negative spin.

While they don’t have to provide evidence in discovery, the amended complaint reads like it’s for PR without it. This is especially true because Blake has been shown to manipulate facts in the past, so people want her to back up her claims. If she doesn’t, it looks like she just wants to drop a dramatic narrative for the public to debate for the next year, and ultimately she may backtrack or settle and never provide the evidence. At that point, the damage will be done, and Blake’s team knows that.

Meant to say they don’t have to evidence in the “complaint”

Is making people uncomfortable criminal tough? It seems to muddle her point, like she's adding a laundry list of complaints because her initial point isn't strong.

It’s in the amended complaint that at least one other woman also complained about the online vitriol directed at her as well.

Why are there duplicate paragraphs? Did nobody proofread the complaint?

Someone on here has posted about Liz Plank (and what she knows) and so I wanted to drop this here. This article shares an Instagram post that makes it look like Plank was the reason Lively was cast in It End With Us. So sounds like she knew both of them before all this went down.

It will be really interesting to see whether all these women also had issues with Baldoni, or whether Lively worked to get them on her side because she didn’t like Baldoni.

Just one additional comment: that would suggest that plank did not herself have issues with Justin, at least until after talking to Blake.

I totally get not naming them but would have expected some hint of the nature of the complaint. So I hope it doesn't end up being something they puffed up like he texted them something benign.

It absolutely will be.

All to push to settlement. Please give rights to movie and call it a day, but what studio green lights part 2 at this point anyway?

No, it’s subjective and doesn’t equal SH. Blake is trying to bring these other actresses down with her. She is shameless.

Maybe, maybe not. Are they friends or did Plank just meet her at an event or something? Or just know if her and think she would be good.

A while back, I went and watched an episode of their podcast with just Plank and Heath, that came out I think in the spring of 2024. It was... weird. I watched it because it was about consent and dating and I was curious if Heath would say anything that could be interesting to this case. I did find his comments on consent to be interesting -- neither damning nor vindicating, just interesting (he was very interested in the idea of what a man can perceive as consent, which I think is a valid way to come at it as a man trying to understand what's okay and what isn't). But Plank's comments in that podcast make me think she'd be very against the stuff Baldoni/Heath are alleged to have done, even if a court didn't rule it as harassment. I think she'd come down on Lively's side regarding the birth scene and the the kissing scenes, for instance. Just based on her own positions on how consent works.

So I'm not convinced Lively "turned" Plank. I think she was I the awkward position of co-hosting a podcast with people who may have done things she, personally, think cross a line. Make of that what you will.

Again, I think Blake forgot that she was supposed to be ACTING in this film. If you choose to ACT in films, there may perhaps be scenes in which, in real life, you may feel uncomfortable. But this wasn’t real life, it was a fantasy, a story trying to be portrayed.

I don’t make anything of it.
