Yes, an actual man. He was posted around page 80-100

Her new smoking hot spokesperson? From Charles’s camp? Seems like a plant. And would definitely not have her trust yet. What happened to her former pr spokesperson?

Maybe Anne sees it as her time and she’s trying to stage a regency? If Charles abdicates due to illness?

She's 17th in line to the throne these days.

Can’t Charles name someone as temp?

Everyone’s consumed.

She has a lot of sisters from another mister right here, just waiting for go time to help her escape with George tucked under an arm. With their aid, Kate will be settled in a smart townhouse and complaining here about the teachers of MCPS by October 2024.

You’re definitely in first place though, and you’ve lapped your competitors. Don’t you dare sell yourself short.

Kate fans are just as weird as meghan fans i see.

Please no!! That person is just a fan of William and Kate's relationship. They think it's impossible for anything to be wrong, including the already admitted photoshopped. They aren't indicative of Kate's fandom. lots of them are concerned are concerned as well on twitter.

DP and that person is a princess fantasist and wants to be Kate on her expensive sheets, looking age 35 not 42 (previous posts on this thread).

With supporters like that, Kate doesn’t need enemies.

😢

I know when I despise someone I call them pretty and shave 7 years off their age, and want their physically abusive husband to hit them with a stack of unused letterhead.

What is it about the Royal Family that makes the men in that house want to have affairs with the Shein version of the wife they already have

I agree.

In the peasant or even DCUM world, it’s like dating a guy whose family has a beach house and spend every Fourth of July there, marrying, then being mad you’ll be expected at the beach in July.

+1 to be expected they would go to boarding school

I think the fact that she signed up for this suggests the Eton theory is wrong. Like someone 100 pages back stated, she seems like she was build in a lab for this life. No way would she throw such a public fit about something totally expected, no matter how displeased she was about it.

She’s allowed to change her mind.

And she didn’t have a little boy of her own then or realize the potential abuses at a boarding school.

She had issues at boarding school herself. So, not naive.

She has no leverage if he wants her out. The tone of her coverage has markedly changed, not a coincidence. He has stopped referring to her at appearances. He has used his solo letterhead. She was thrown under the bus re: the photo that in all likelihood was a set up. She had nothing to do with it and likely does not have access to their social media accounts. It was a dig at her prior competent/asset image and a dig at the hobby she is well known for. Stories painting her as volatile and throwing things started to run last year, portraying them as "equally bad."

Whether it is about a 3rd party or not remains to be seen. He is not even faking being a doting, protective husband at this point.

If there are differences over the kids going forward, he holds the trump cards, especially as her family's wealth has tanked.

All the cries that they can't get divorced when CHARLES is divorced as silly.

This is my line of thinking. As most marital arguments, it's just a symptom of a bigger issue. In this case they aren't on the same page anymore. They had an easy way out by just admitting it was mistake from their staff office. Putting it on Kate sent a nasty message.

My sense is that Charles was kinder and more deferential to Diana re: the children than William will be (in part due to trauma/damage from Diana's mental illness during his childhood, William is not going to share power this round). It's more than the marriage seeming broken, it's that the "machine" is now tarnishing her image actively, despite it being a time when the opposite would be expected by the public out of basic decency while they are claiming she is quite "ill." In fact, she may be.

It's pretty extraordinary, but if you look back there have been more negative stories placed about her for a year or so, very "both sides" (linked upthread or Google) but now she is "unstable" etc. and "wanting out" when she may be being pushed out. She has no power in the situation that I can see. William's lifelong anger may have found a new target. He seems unwilling to just live apart and fake it for PR anymore.

It seems like William and KP's handling Katw was a big shock for a lot of royal journalists too. As someone (maybe you?) said there's been a noticeable shift in the narrative considering Kate now. They aren't looking out for her and now okay with actively harming her image. Not collaborating might be the only way she's able to hold some control.

Actively harming her image? Look at what the dailymail just published:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-13191311/Kate-Middleton-Prince-William-Kensington-photo.html

Someone needs to say it, it has been pretty shocking. Kate Middleton has been 'thrown under a bus' by 'disgraceful' Kensington officials and 'ungentlemanly' Prince William - who let her take blame for Mother's Day photo blunder, Richard Eden tells Palace Confidential

I think it is most likely that the photogate was a set up as part of the media campaign to damage her image, along with the solo letterhead and not mentioning her at events anymore. It makes William look callous and cold, but they must not care or feel a plot twist yet to come will vindicate his approach?

Guys, guys. Who wants to damage the image of both Kate-the-most-popular and William-the-heir-apparent-and-now-a-cold-and-bad-husband? Hmm?

It's Camilla. Remember when the palace announced on 2/5 that Charles was diagnosed with cancer, people started questioning "What happens next?" "Will King Charles abdicate?"

Some people here were joking about William sending Camilla to the tower! Camilla/Buckingham Palace don't want the public talking about abdication. They want people to focus on Kate and William.

I think this is the core of what's happening right now. It would perfectly explain the communications meltdown happening in KP over the past few weeks + the changing tone toward Catherine in the UK media.

Everything else - Rose Hanbury/cheating, DV, pregnancy/abortion, school choice for George, comas - are unverifiable rumors or silly conspiracy theories. I wish this thread would stay away from this crap, it's dumb noise.

The core issue is that the marriage is on the verge of complete breakdown and Catherine is on the outs. And this is absolutely within the realm of possibility in the highly dysfunctional Windsor family. The Palace was similarly dysfunctional when Diana and Charles were breaking down.

If William does divorce Catherine, I will feel bad for little George - no one will want to marry him. What woman would possibly sign up to be the 3rd generation jilted wife of the future monarch?

With the caveat that I’m an anti-monarchist (as much as a non-Brit can be)…

This theory is one of the two that make sense to me. She’s deliberately not cooperating with whatever messaging KP is trying to make, as it’s her only leverage. And she knows she needs leverage or she’ll get screwed on accessing and influencing her kids - the only reason Diana is seen with sympathy is because she died dramatically and tragically.

I also understand why William would want a divorce, but I also don’t understand how he could be stupid enough to think it would be at all good for his image and popularity. But I might be underestimating his stupidity and ego…

The other theory that makes the most sense to me is that there isn’t anything more nefarious than usual (he’s a jerk, she’s a vain PITA), but they are so clueless, self-centered, and egotistical that they actually believe the whole “anointed by god” thing and can’t fathom how this looks bad for them.

I think Kate is the only royal who isn't clueless about image. She's the only one who really had to work to be in the position she's in. I also think she, like many Brits, is a genuine believer in the importance of the royal family (have you ever spoken with an English royalist? As an American I truly cannot understand the off-the-charts patriotism of everyday commoners). I don't think she would intentionally screw up their image. She is choosing to not go out of her way to make it better because she's screwed no matter what she does. William is one minor medical issue away from being King, he can get what he wants, and might not be totally unreasonable in thinking that royalists are going to remain loyal to him no matter what he does to Kate.

The only other theory I'd buy is that whatever health issue she experienced left her severely disfigured *and* the PR Kensington Palace team is way, way more incompetent than we thought (and I didn't think they were competent to begin with).

The British royal family is a joke. A laughing stock. Deserves 0 sympathy or respect from anyone. just sucks money and attention and the world would be better without them.

John Oliver clearly agreed.

He used the letterhead in Sept 2022. Now you can shut up about that.

Well, aren't YOU a charmer?

Kate is also famously lazy/resistant to royal work. Diana was more so what you described and understood the importance of royal duty even with her resentment toward Charles in particular .

I think for Kate and for Will, it’s an albatross and a burden rather than a privilege.

Maybe they see with Charles sickness, that the time is near for Will to be King and he nor she are game /up for it especially so young.
