It doesn't appear they're streaming the hearing on the call-in line because so many nuts called in and sang songs and yelled stuff.

Big from Dearie:

He presses Trump’s lawyers on what he’s supposed to do. The government provided “prima facie evidence” of classification, ie, the markings.

“As far as I’m concerned, that’s the end of it.”

Trusty asserts his litigation position isn’t “gamesmanship.” He just needs to see the documents first.

Dearie needles, drily, that Trusty would wouldn’t engage in gamesmanship.

Trusty adds, earnestly, that he wouldn’t.

Just too funny. They want the special master to determine this is not classified, privileged, Trump's personal property, etc., but they refuse to submit any evidence at all. Have these jokes of lawyers ever heard of the burden of proof?

Narrator: It is actually not astonishing

I mean, yes, if you were the president, that would be one thing, but as the law suggests, once 1/21/21 came around, Trump was *checks notes* no longer the president.

Jesus!!!! These people are really trying to argue he’s still the president as a defense. Full Q!!! This would be funny if it weren’t so dangerous.

So what are the odds on whether they go to Cannon immediately to get Dearie fired, or whether they wait a couple weeks?

They asked for Dearie. They got Dearie. They need to ride the dragon and then take their chances with Cannon once he issues his report. Doesn’t seem like it will take very long to address a. Sad mall number of attorney-client comms and some “personal items.” A throuple of weeks at most.

They know exactly what they’re doing, which is what their client is instructing. Trump is listening to Fitton. They will have advised Trump as to the likely outcome. They just need to take care not to mislead Dearie. They can’t submit an affidavit regarding declassification because it would constitute perjury. And they can’t make any affirmative representations about declassification without being sanctioned for committing a fraud upon the court. They find themselves between a rock and a hard place. Who could have foreseen this other than literally everyone?

That's not going to serve their delay tactics well, so they're going to need to find a way to muck up what Dearie is doing or get him tossed. I bet they fool around with the protective order issues and whatnot and see what they can get away with. They will try to gin up some issues that they can appeal to Cannon.

This legit made me LOL. Honestly, how does trump continue to find lawyers? It's not like they are doing it for the money - because he never pays his legal bills.

She is a trumpist and a federalist. This is her ticket to SCOTUS. No way she backs down.

But could Trump then say Panda Man is lying, and then it becomes a he said, he said?

If Trump decides to testify he’s even dumber than I thought he was.

Trump is so impressed with himself and his ability to lie his way out of everything in his life that I can see him deciding to testify.

Con men believe only in themselves and their ability to con. Obviously, all his lawyers and Melania and Ivanka would beg him not to testify and in the end he would change his mind. But, it's such a delicious fantasy.

I did white collar crime for 7 years. Defendants ALWAYS wanted to testify because they were all narcissists who believed their own lies. Watching many of them testify was often incredible because they were so full of shit and yet you could tell they 100% believed their own bullshit and though others did as well.

Florida Man at least secured a $3 million retainer. Trump considers most of his lawyers to be just another chump who can be stiffed when he’s footing the bill. He seems to recognize this matter is now a BFD.

Well, they haven’t addressed the “executive privilege” and continue to dance around declassification, which Dearie deftly swatted away die to the lack of evidence and it not being an exercise in which the court should engage. He’s not inclined to talk to NARA so the pickings are pretty slim at this point assuming the a/c disputes are resolved quickly, as they should be. They appear to have really misplayed their hand with a no-nonsense senior judge having FISA experience. There may not be enough rope in Florida for Cannon to throw them a lifeline.
