Roe v Wade struck down

Up here we have had NO abortion law at all for 30 years and the sky hasn't fallen. It's considered a medical procedure, not your neighbor's business. Our parliament couldn't agree on a law so just gave up.

We don't have a pile of late term abortions for convenience or whatever the scare stories are. Doctors here would only terminate later for non viability or the mother's health by that stage.

Maybe you need to try NO LAW and see how it works just fine.

Each province has its own limit on gestational age for abortion though, some as low as 12-15 weeks.

The best healing agent for that district is to get rid of this one ASAP.

Yeah, no. It's so "healing" to tell the now adult you gave up for adoption that their bio dad was a rapist.

Also not “healing” to have to share custody with your rapist.

The cruelty that one has to believe in order to punish women for the crime of fertility, basically, is astonishing. Can you imagine? And not just random circumstances, but the whole apparatus of religious extremists who have overtaken the government forcing this on you?!

Anti-abortionist, what say you?

The whole point is MEN want control of life and death. The reality that women have this power pisses them off to no end.

And to sentence that child to a life of god knows what difficulties and limitations and he’s barely getting a slap on the wrist for it.

This, to the GOP, is their ideal country in action.

The state should pay for it, absolutely.

Recrue Media stalked women's phones with anti-abortion ads after they visited 600+ family planning clinics across US in 2020.

Badgered them on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram etc.

Letter from Senator Ron Wyden calls for an SEC investigation.

And oftentimes you can't wait for a court of law to decide on medical emergencies.... They continue to say doctors will do what they need to and no one will get prosecuted.... But now they see they were wrong and are voting Democrat this next go around

I really, really want to believe more R women will be like your family but I’m not counting on white women to do the right thing. And I’m a white woman! I’m focusing on registering voters in key states then mobilizing to vote.

DP.

My 91 year old immigrant mother (she immigrated to the US in the 1950's and naturalized in the 1960's) has voted Republican all her life through 2016. In 2020, she voted for Biden because of Trump. She says will risk her life in 2024 (she's 91 and despite having gotten all of her Covid tests, she is very wary about Covid exposure) to go and vote against Trump again. It may not matter in Florida, but she will go and do this again.

Activists are getting close to the number of signatures they need for a referendum to legalize abortion in Florida, so she may get to vote for that, too - and that’s a really good way to make her vote matter as well.

We need to tie this vote to the Senate and elect A democrat. With SineManchin gone we could enshrine Roe. But that means Biden needs to be explicit about that.

I would guess that the Democrats will be very explicit about what the end of Roe has meant, as well as what it means that Thomas is hinting toward an end to birth control, and that several elected Republicans are making noise about banning birth control. I would also guess that the conservative corporate media will not cover it nearly to the extent that they should. It’ll be all, “will this be a red wave year? it’s totally gonna be a red wave year, you guys, you heard it here first red wave red wave…”

And they're Also coming after birth control pills.

New abortion bill would also restrict contraceptives, IUDs, and create an abortion database
