I'm calling it. Weiner is going to kill Don Draper

I think Mad Men is genius. Best television in decades.

Weiner is slowly killing Don. If he didn't follow the story arch out, I would be disappointed.

That said, I have to watch a few episodes from earlier seasons, because I LOVED the bad ass that Draper was.

You don't really need to "call it.". The very first episode made it clear that it what would happen. But I am stil, sad he will go the way of Tony Soprano.

As long as he doesn't fall off a building, it's okay.

I do wonder if the "death" will be him becoming Dick Whitman again.

This is no redemption story. The Don is done. LOVE this show.

Disagree. The first episodes were metaphorical death. Not physical. I agree with the OP.

OP, I haven't looked at the posts on this thread. Just want to ask folks to please not put potential spoilers or foreshadowing as post titles. I haven't been able to get to watch this season's Mad Men episodes yet, and although you technically aren't spoiling, you are revealing a bunch of info about what's happening this season, so when folks like me are watching scenes, we already know now that there will develop a really bad relationship between these characters.

Just asking you to consider this request.
Thanks.

There is death in every season. They put him in Lane's office for cripes sake. His death is not some surprising event and OP is not a super sleuth for "calling it."

No, I don't agree. He won't be killed or die. That would be like copying other shows.

Thicker skin needed. There was no spoiler.

I don't think OP is really revealing any info in the title (if you're worried about what's in the post, you shouldn't open it). The thread title is very wide speculation, and doesn't say anything about anybody's relationships.

Per Cooper, Don started this company "along with a dead man whose office you now inhabit." Fantastic line, albeit too strong a metaphor, maybe too obvious. I think having Don die is too cliche for this show. I'll be upset if it ends like the Sopranos, but I don't think he's going to die.

A really bad relationship between what characters? Dafuq?

Sorry OP but I completely disagree. There has been to much obvious foreshadowing for that to actually happen.

It just occurred to me that this poster thinks Weiner is a character in the show.
