Curious - why would people have such high 50k+ limits? Do you ever spend to that level in a month? Is there another benefit? |
We do sometimes have months where there will be very high balances in the $50-$60k range. Everything goes on the amex |
|
$35k. Never asked for it. They just gave it to me. Typical monthly charges of $1k to $3k, usually paid in full at the end of the month.
Having such a high limit was handy when I had to pay for my dad's funeral last year. Otherwise it's not something I really pay much attention to. |

| 50K on one card, 15 K on 2nd card, 12 K on 3rd card and not sure about a couple of others I don't really use anymore, just haven't cancelled. Only time I got close to the 50K limit was during a remodel of our house. We got lots of cash back out of that and even maxed out the benefit at something like 75K or 80K for the year. I didn't even know there was a maximum amount that you could charge to still get cash back. Luckily they credited me the difference once I figured it out since I had never hit the limit before and then I used my other credit card for December until it reset. And yes, we pay off our credit cards every month so there is no fee. I don't think I ever asked for the 50K, they just raised it to that back in the late 90s. |
| $0 do not have one. |
