I just found out today that Jessica Watkins is a transgendered woman. My mind is blown.

This was known about a week after 1-6-2021. Weren't you at least suspicious that a woman claimed years of combat experience in Afghanistan in the early '00s? Airborne?

Found mentions in February 2021: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/jessicagarrison/oath-keeper-transgender-jail-jessica-watkins

Wow, they came back after only three days of deliberations. I expected it to take much longer.

Felony obstruction of congress? That’s all they could come up with?

Lots of defendants, lots of guilty verdicts.

None of those charges are attempted murder, kidnapping, etc. They are pretty minor charges.

Isn't being found guilty of sedition punishable by death?

I think it’s only twenty years. Treason can be death.

Was anyone convicted of sedition and/or treason?

Sedition is not a minor charge.

A few years ago, the legal world had decided that sedition wasn't a valid charge, that printing/posting nonsense is protected by the First Amendment.

And then January 6 happened and now sedition is a real crime. A major crime.

Why do you think these are minor charges? When do we start taking RW crimes seriously?

Black people are getting killed due to suspicion of misdemeanor and here someone is trying to say sedition is minor!!!

Other than treason, sedition is the most serious charge one can have against the US.

Now that there are a couple of people who have been charged and convictted of a seditious conspiracy, anyone else associated with the conspiracy can be charged with it.

Giddy up.

white privilege and brainwashing by the right wing echo chamber.

Rhodes may be nuts, but he is not a stupid man. I am very glad the jury didn’t fall for the “but, we didn’t succeed, so we shouldn’t be found guilty” arguments. Three of them testified in their own defense. Rhodes was one of them. Their appeal chances are shot.

A lot of militias hold white supremacist views. I hope these folks do too. I have a small amount of petty gleefulness that an American-Indian (not Native American) judge will be sentencing them.

But it wasn’t when leftists stormed the Kavanaugh hearing and broke into Grassley’s office.

Feel free to peruse the evidence presented at trial. It’s been released.

Because they worship at the altar of Roy Cohn, that’s why.

I’ve had a sneaking suspicion that he’s been a cooperating witness for a loooooong time. He’s a soft rich boy and has a young family; this is the type of guy who won’t last more than a week in prison. He really hates brown people, but he’s not going to jail for anyone.
