Had someone decided to mock any other religion on its most holy day of the year, I would have removed that thread as well. However, I'm leaving the 4/20 thread, because that recognizes another group's most important day of the year.

Not OP but I was disappointed that it was removed. When a thread gets deleted it's not just one offending post getting deleted, but all the discussion and responses that follow. Censorship hurts.

Please. My number one pet peeve is when people are unable to distinguish between "censorship" and the legitimate duties of a moderator. A blatant attempt to annoy other users of this website is the same as trolling. The purpose of a troll is to do the exact same thing. We have a clear policy against trolling.

I had to laugh a little at the Happy Easter post in Off Topic. I guess the OP of that one couldn't find the Religion section.

Removing the post isn't censorship, it's common sense. I don't believe in any of the religious stuff of the day but I wouldn't go out of my way to mock those who do on such a major day for them.
