| or online vendors and comment on current styles worn in firms. Unfortunately, plus-sized but gradually working my way down. TIA. |
| Talbots! |
| Thank you. Good tip. |
| Department stores -- Nordstrom, Macy's -- you have to wade through a lot of inappropriate stuff at Macy's, but they do have some nicer Tahari etc suits in larger sizes. |
| Alicia Florrick? Is that you? |
| Ann Taylor |
| Call Nordstrom and get an appointment with a personal shopper. They are great! |
| Talbots is your friend. |
| Yes talbots. Shopped there when I was large and small and in between. |
No, not Ann Taylor unless it's the nineties, you're in your 20s and just started working for DeLoitte. Second Talbots, much better style and cut for OP. |
Thanks everyone. I had completely forgottten about Talbots. Any good online options (yes, I am not that old that I don't know Talbots is online, too )? Are most women lawyers wearing pants now? Does anyone try St. John or Misook during the summer months?
|
| OP Post 50 and plus size is tough. Talbots, R lauren to get started, then find a good tailor. |
Yes! Congrats on your return to practice. |
I wear St John almost year round. It's worth a trip to the St. John outlet. It's especially good for plus size. I see a lot of senior women in St John. I would go to Bloomingdales and see if Elie Tahari fits you. It's much more polished than talbots. Talbots is fine for business casual. Women lawyers often wear pants, although not to court and sometimes not to client meetings. Depends how formal your firm/clients are. |
