Favorite two names...which one do you prefer? NN Maddie, probably
|
| Isn't Molly a nickname for Margaret? |
No, it's a nickname for Mary. |
| Molly |
| Prefer Maddie but both are nice. |
|
I know too many Madeleines now. And Molly has been ruined for me by the nickname for the club drug.
A couple at church just had a Marthe. Otherwise, I think I am over M names for now. |
| Madeline is lovely. |
| Molly is getting to be overused and honestly there are a lot of dogs named Molly too. |
| I like both. Molly can stand on its own. |
|
Molly.
I know more Maddie's than Bella's. |
| Molly!!!! |

I'm a Molly. Growing up I loved the name -- it's widely familiar, but I hardly ever ran into another Molly.
I will agree, though, that there are a lot of dogs named Molly (almost always golden retrievers, for some reason). |
| Molly is the street name for a deadly form of ectasy. No thank you. |
| I like both. I like Mary nicknamed Molly the best, followed by Madeline, followed by Molly on it's own, but all 3 are nice. |

I feel like Madeline is SOOOOO overdone, and I've always loved the name Molly/Mollie.
FYI though, my friend named her dd (Mary) Molly, and she reports that MANY people, upon hearing her name, say "My dog's name is Molly!" My friend also says the Molly-dogs are always really sweet and happy so she's not insulted, but it's clearly a dog name. |
