Heard my DS and his friends calling each other Nittanys.

They were laughing saying "youre a NITTANY" hahaha!!
They are all in high school so I asked my DS later what they were talking about. He said it was their derogatory word for a pedophile . They said it was an acronym for Penn State that goes Naturally Inclined To Touch Any Nude Youngster! I acted dissaproving but actually thought it was funny and kind of appropriate for the Penn State event.

Anyways, I hope the Nittanys involved all go to prison and the strange atmosphere around the football program, town, fanbase and administration can someday get priorities in order.

Regardless of your views on Penn State, why would you think it was funny that they are calling each other pedophiles? Do you think pedophilia is something that is a source of amusement? I think your priorities, and obviously those you have instilled in your DS, are the ones that need to be put in order.

Just an FYI, that "strange atmosphere" is not a Penn State thing. The same atmosphere is at any big college football program and for many big high school football programs (think pretty much anywhere in Texas). Sandusky got caught. There are plenty of other people who haven't yet.

^^^ wrong. Penn State is even worse than "the college sports atmosphere ". They crossed the line into institutional atrocity. Covering up 20 years of serial pedophilia on an institution wide basis so as not to lose a football game is a sick atmosphere .

Regular cheaters have at least some sense of decency, this stuff was half way to hitler.

^^ they need to suspend the toxic football team and atmosphere until the trials are completed to get re establish a normal mentality and show a serious attitude. Till then , they haven't grown .

Not PP but there are plenty of ardent supporters of those who are no longer employed/enrolled out there. I'm from the area and see it all the time. Disgusting.

This thread sounds fishy. It's like the VA Tech, Penn State, UMD, and George Mason boosters have this ongoing battle with each other because of their hatred for each other's schools.

Odd that these types of post pop up more and more frequently and have pretty much taken over the forum.
