| My DD wishes to attend a conservative school. It has been reported that these are the most conservative...is that true? What about Emory and Henry College? |
Why does your DD have to attend a politically conservative school? |
| GMU should've even be in the category with the others. Go to that wackadoodle small college in VA training up the future fundies, if that's what you are after. (Patrick Henry? Is that right?) |
| Yale has many conservatives. |
| Conservative in what way? |
Oh yeah...only like p99% of the student body and professors are left-liberal. |
Robert Bork hailed George Mason and Shenandoah College as the two most conservative schools in Virgina. |
As in gun loving, government hating, Jesus loving right winger way. |
| Liberty, is my guess. |
| This thread is a setup seeking, as usual, a fight. |
| GMU has departments- Econ, their law school for example, that are pretty darn conservative, but the school by and large is middle of the road with pockets of liberal and conservative. I would not equate it with Liberty or Regents at all. |
| I think Patrick Henry is the one PP is thinking of. Be sure to check the accreditation of all these places. |
| liberty is a stronghold of Jesus freaks and similar idiots and rubes. Why in the world would your daughter want to attend a school like that? Why in the world would you want to support her in doing so? The country needs fewer, not more, knuckledraggers. Goeorge Mason and many other schools have a good representation of economically conservative scholars, without going over-board with the culturally conservative riff-raff. |
Liberty -- Regent is for post-graduate degrees. Good for your daughter and congratulations, mom & dad for raising a daughter with a solid, thinking brain on her shoulders. My family wishes you all the best! |
Sorry, these are mutually exclusive. |
