It's especially galling when these entitled royals use the words "we" - like they are in the same situation as the rest of the world.

The tone-deafness of these people goes beyond the pale.

They just expanded their family. How lovely!!

Wait, Kate is pregnant?

LOL They're probably talking about the dog.

They needed to be worried about the backlash they're receiving instead.

Guess Meghan should’ve learned to kick a ball around.

Wow - this is the most human I've seen Kate acting since she married in. No makeup, no fancy highlights or hair updo, plain jacket and jeans. Acknowledging violence against women.

It definitely is better than the time the MeToo movement was exploding and she wore a green-dress to a BAFTAs ceremony where almost all the women were wearing black in solidarity.

No makeup, no updo...no mask?

She rarely wears her hair in updos and her hair is very clearly still highlighted (which makes sense because highlights don’t immediately fade out). Just very weird things to point out.

No mask because then it wouldn't be a photo op that is much needed after the H&M Oprah interview. "Reclaim the Streets" in response to #SarahEverard abduction, gruesome brutal assault and murder by a low level Met Police officer who just days before was accused of indecent exposure.

Brits are calling it what it is, a photo op sans mask so she would be clearly recognized. Her body guard in blue puffer follows her every move.

Don't shoot the messenger. See the reactions of London's women about this on reddit. Can't find the sub reddit, but it's out there.

Awfully suspicious timing for Kate to be more engaged in racial matters?
I bet you two weeks ago, she would not be near it.

England actually has much more relaxed masking protocol than many places in the US. There is no requirement to wear masks outdoors and I would say that only 25% of people do. Given that, I can’t imagine anyone that’s vaxxed wears a mask outside, so while not a great visual, I don’t think this is actually scandalous there like it would be in DC.

This looks so desperate.

It couldn’t have been her decision. They’re just trying anything and seeing if anything sticks.

You don’t follow Hello magazine. They often have photos of a dressed down Kate at school runs, shopping with her kids, at fairs and sporting events.

You do understand that the Royal family cannot make political statements. Had Kate worn a black dress that would have been a political statement

If you want to be informed, Hello is a fine primer.

She's the best. You know the royal family probably didn't want her to do this but she felt so strongly that she went anyway. You can tell she is a good person.

According to Brits this was a PR stunt and they don’t like it

Meh. If she hadn’t gone they would have been slamming her about that instead.

I live in London at the moment. This was clearly a photo-op. The royal family absolutely knew about it. Although not wearing a mask outside is legal, many people do and Kate has absolutely done so most (if not all) other times.
