| Can blocks of cheese (cheddar) be frozen for future use? How long can you freeze cheese items? |
I think a few months, but I know there are sites that will tell how long any food will stay good in the freezer. frozen cheddar is a little more crumbly than non frozen, but fine otherwise. |
Tends to work better if you grate it first and store in ziplock bags in the freezer. |
Doesn’t work great without a sink. |

Wegmans was out of Bounty paper towels and low on most other brands. I didn’t notice anything else bring out of stock.

Hand sanitizer can be made with alcohol and aloe vera.
Those are starting to be snapped up, so act quickly if this is something you need. |
Can a regular grain alcohol do the same?. |
Why the hell would toilet paper run out? You should already be stocked up on that anyway. I generally keep a months worth around. Why hoard it now? |
I freeze shredded cheese all the time. Lasts for months and taste just fine once thawed out in the fridge. |
| Tip O' The Day: gas stations seem to currently be the place where hand sanitizer is still available because people are too busy cleaning out Target etc. |
I don’t keep a month supply on hand. We are usually keep two weeks but I will skip a grocery run some weeks. So yes, I bought a one month supply today. |
I guess I could ask you the same then, why keep a months worth around as a general rule? What's the obsession? |

Because nobody normally piles this stuff. It is bulky and takes space, Most city people live in apartments with zero storage space. Now they buy a pile because if this hits the fan and either stores close or they will have to be isolated then they wont get any. Also even if nothing closes but with local cases one will choose to stay home instead store hopping risking exposure? Since TP goes fast. Statistically a person uses The average person uses 100 rolls of toilet paper per year, for family of four this is..400 roles for a year or.. 33 roles per family per month..
So you make two month supple... and end up with.. 66 roles, if they come in pack of four.. you need hysterical amount of 17 sets...so in theory one shopper can clear the given shelf stock of 4 pack roles without even trying..

STORAGE SOLUTIONS Brilliant solution for space strapped city dwellers If you have a. car. you can always stash stuff in your car. Trunk or cabin. If it is not visible so wont attract thieves. I would not keep food but maybe toilet paper?.. Another option, flat rollin container with lid that fits under the bed,, Target, walmart and Bed B and B.. and container store and amazon all have them. |
Wait are you suggesting looters are coming for our toilet paper?
