10th grade? I thought the new NCAA rules made 11th grade the key year. Especially with all the restrictions to conversations with 10th grades and rumors that those rules will get even stricter this spring.

I think PP is making the point that which coaches reach out to you on June 15 before 11th grade year depends on how well players do 10th grade year. Coaches will be assessing prior to reaching out.

That makes sense. I will say I noticed quality junior year commitments at our club to some top colleges over the winter and even a commitment this spring. Before parents panic and look at this coming year as make it or break it.

Comittments are one thing. Offers are another.

Some kids have multiple offers and hold off on committing. A late comittment doesnt always mean a late offer.

No doubt. In knowing the players, one of the winter commitments didn't have offers until the winter. The earlier you start, the better, but if it doesn't fall into place right away, don't panic.

Do your homework. They do recruit but they also develop. Players would not likely join these programs if they were not developing.
