Should McLean Pre-ECNL players consider Spirit DA?

USSF gives a "grace period" for coaches to get licensed... Pretty sure there are BDA clubs with coaches that are not properly licensed 10+ years later.... LOL

You do know that most McLean ECNL players did not actually play u9-u12 soccer in Mclean, right? In years past you would have a maximum of 3-4 players make their ECNL club from their u12 feeder (pre-ECNL) team. With the DA (and additional ECNL clubs added)--McLean now has to 'home-grow' (develop) their own talent. They just don't have as big of a pool of players to pull from (locally) than a Loudoun or Arlington (bigger clubs, more zip codes). They have also had significant changes with the coaches on the younger teams (u9-u12 on the girls side). They lost their TD 2 years ago (Diane Drake) and replaced her with an individual that no one has a lot of respect for (Jahon). Hence their current 06 ECNL team's record (1 win and 1 tie in 12 games)...

Ugh. We left because of that guy. That club has gone downhill with hisnshadow and parents cannot stand him at other clubs. Even parents on his own teams complain. Nuts McLean.

You have reading comprehension problems? I quoted the post that said "Its only a matter of time until all the good players flock to WSVA". Why would they go there? To be part of one of the weakest GDA clubs in the country? And if they did, they would push out all the existing players that comprise those weakest GDA teams including what appears to be your daughter since you are a delusional WSVA parent. Oh wait, there is serious development happening only at WSVA and the results will show soon or maybe in 10 years. Give me a break. You responded to me with some irrelevant post and I pointed it out. On top of it, you suggest that the "good players" at other clubs aren't as good as those at WSVA. Please, for the love of god, help us all understand how this can be true when WSVA is one of the weakest GDA in the entire country from staff, talent, development and results standpoints. Other than those aspects, what else is there for you to be tooting your horn about? Free tickets to NWSL games?

Tickets aren’t free considering DA dues at one point we’re paying player salaries.

+1 on coaching. All I ever hear is the team will click. When? Can’t you win or tie a game while waiting to click? Other teams have done it. Where’d they find these guys? WSVA 04 has been together for almost 2 years. When will they click? College?
