So did FCV make offers or is that process different? Of course they already have an entire 05 team. Many of those players hav3 been with the club for years.

that is the advantage for FCV over the WS. FCV can build their 06s and 05s in adavnace and good players want to go play there when younger to get in. of course the training and development is a separate question between the two that can be debated elsewhere. But FCV will probably have better results early on, at least they have so far. The WS says they need a better feeder system in that interview

I wouldn't count on to much early success for FCV at 06 and down the road. 05 perhaps, but with Loudoun getting ECNL FCV's player pool will take a significant hit.

2) Also, it will depend on whether the ECNL can stay a close 2nd Tier to Girls DA or not,,, basically whether enough elite players stay in that league nationwide to drive enough scouts to keep coming to then in turn justify the high ECNL cost. Otherwise, the ECNL just becomes a very expensive national league that Loudoun 07s, 08s, etc. families might be better off staying in CCL, playing high school only, and using those saved club fees for college academic admission.

NP. I read MYS is staying all-in on ecnl with its girls like Loudon and even dropping its boys U12 da program next year to instead add ecnl for its boys. What is Loudoun doing on boy's side? Will ecnl be added like MYS?

With DC United moving, literally next door to Loudoun Soccer park, I'm pretty sure Loudoun will add the boys ECNL side as their boys DA will have some serious problems going forward.

All true. the flip side is that FCV will need to stick with mostly the kids they already have in the pipeline to keep parents appeased. Probably not a lot of opportunity to break into the 1st team at U13/U14/U15 from outside the club. Spirit’s a good option for girls from other clubs who didn’t commit to a particular pipeline at age 10.

True for Spirit for now but an over simplification for FCV. Outside kids at FCV always get a chance but you have to be as good or better than the current top players. If you are just as good as a average starter or bench player then they will stay with who they already have.

How many from Loudoun 06s went to WS ID sessions (over) vs. FCV ID sessions (ongoing) vs. waiting for 13U with the ECNL (announcement forthcoming)?

Good players on 2006 1st and 2nd teams and someone must be willing to comment
