MAJOR Snowstorm?

BLah. I'm over this storm already. Would much rather have all snow than fewer inches of the winter mix sh-t.

Looks like the forecast now has Arlington getting rain tonight and one inch maximum tomorrow for a total of ... one inch of snow (if any). ON TIME.

I don't get what some of you are talking about. 6-12 is still on that map and that's the Hedgers at CWG. The only people getting rain are Dover and la plata.

My weather apps on my iphone for temperatures are always spot-on. It's not even getting below freezing tonight according to them. 35 degrees is the absolute coldest it is showing for just 1 hour---the rest of the night it shows 36-37 degrees---yet shows snowflakes. I'm no scientist (wait--yes I am)--but you don't get accumulating snow with above freezing air temps and warm ground surface.

I hope I am wrong.

Get a better app. Or put more weight in the high/low forecast, which on my app is more accurate than the hourly predictions.

Or it's possible you and I don't live near one another. Just 20-30 miles apart and the forecasts are much different.

Yep. My iPhone app called it correctly--hours before local meteorologists. Not even expected to get an inch now...

Yeah, the "wintery mix" stuff blows. That is THE worst possible forecast because it means and icy mess.

It really is worse in this area if there's a wintry mix. May the milk, bread and eggs gods be with you, citizen.

It wouldn't be so disappointing if the forecast didn't say 8-12in at one point
