My kid went to DC to protest. He couldn't get near the parade itself because they stopped letting people in. He said there were a lot more people around that couldn't get close to the parade itself. That the videos don't give a sense of how many people were behind the barriers. However, he got the sense that there were as many protestors as Trump supporters.

There were not more than 10,000 people there. There was no crowd or rush to get in. The entrances were all completely open, they were never closed. The crowd was 1 deep on most of the route except for around 18th Street.

I'm French and we throw a Bastille Day military parade every year. This DC event was poorly executed, which is understandable, since this is a new thing for you.

You'll do better next year, if the American people decide they want to make this a regular thing.

The No Kings marches were peaceful and as with so many previous events the violence and chaos came from MAGA infiltrators and agitators.

Same with right wing Boogaloo Bois who were responsible for many smashed storefronts and arsons in Minneapolis during the Floyd protests.
