Famous protest song against the Vietnam War. |
Can't wait for the Colbert and Jon Stewart recaps of this! |
Some folks are born made to wave the flag Hoo, they're red, white and blue And when the band plays "Hail to the chief" Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord It ain't me, it ain't me I ain't no senator's son, son It ain't me, it ain't me I ain't no furtunate one, no Some folks are born silver spoon in hand Lord, don't they help themselves, Lord? But when the taxman come to the door Lord, the house lookin' like a rummage sale, yeah |
My kid went to DC to protest. He couldn't get near the parade itself because they stopped letting people in. He said there were a lot more people around that couldn't get close to the parade itself. That the videos don't give a sense of how many people were behind the barriers. However, he got the sense that there were as many protestors as Trump supporters. |
Did they actually play this?? |
And doesn't the big beautiful bill have major cuts to the Army funding? The whole thing was ridiculous. |
The tanks and vehicles weren’t in formation. They just occasionally rolled by one by one. It was weird. |
There were not more than 10,000 people there. There was no crowd or rush to get in. The entrances were all completely open, they were never closed. The crowd was 1 deep on most of the route except for around 18th Street. |
yes - it was the close out as the last platoon passed the reviewing stand. |
How much were those people in the bleachers paid to watch the fascist parade?
I'll be Fox News will cal it a roaring success!! They'll have to use AI to fill in all those empty seats in the bleachers and a recording of people cheering. The morons who watch Fix won't know the difference. |
Leaving politics out of it for a second...
I'm French and we throw a Bastille Day military parade every year. This DC event was poorly executed, which is understandable, since this is a new thing for you. You'll do better next year, if the American people decide they want to make this a regular thing. |
Why would thru leave the bleachers empty? |
Poor turnout |
