Fake news from RWNJ trolls. No discrimination. Many Asian people, including TJ students and alum, support the change. |
Return to merit has begun, starting with the new principal |
There is plenty of merit. He can’t change the admissions policy. |
i Keep dreaming |
These are mostly boba liberals that somehow feel responsible for slavery and segregation. Or they want to virtue signal like they are white. |
Just read the quote above again... No wonder why some people cannot stand some "Asian" folks! This lady is a "bad" example! |
DP. True, he cannot change the policy and I don't think he should tilt at windmills to try and change admissions. However he can provide the under-performing students with a more honest assessment of their chances of success at TJ instead of trying to convince them to gut it out. |
40 years ago it was the children of jewish immigrants. 20 years ago, asian meant the children of east asian immigrants, now it largely means the children of south asian immigrants. Neither of us can predict which immigrant group will be flooding the halls of selective schools. The immigrant kids are hungrier than our kids. They always will be. I see how hard the indian kids work and i can't believe the way people on this board talk about those children. |

DC is a fairly recent TJ alum. Said he’d never give a dime to TJ while Bonitatibus was still there. |
I know a few alumni at jane street and they are directing corporate donations towards TJ, especially for the academic competitions so that they aren't "pay to play" |
+1 Same as my kid who is thrilled she's gone. |
It's so laughable really. I mean the school is majority Asian. Asian enrollment is at a historic high and the largest beneficiaries of the change were again Asians. |
That's okay I made up the difference for her. |
That's fake. The new system was the only merit in years since previously people were buying the test. |
