Olympics Opening Ceremony

I googled that cspire company that “pulled their ads.” It’s a wireless/fiber utility company in Mississippi. Would have had local-only ads which are super cheap (especially considering that limited market) and sold only when there aren’t national ads. So NBC is out a couple thousand dollars max, but will quickly fill with others anyway.

The consternation by the American right wing who otherwise love to mutter “eff your feelings” and prattle on about how liberals get offended too easily is just priceless.

Not offended at all. Just identifying it as Satanic and aware of my surroundings

2036 summer:
Indonesia, Turkey, India, Chile, and Qatar have confirmed their bids. Other countries that have expressed interest in bidding for 2036 include Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Egypt, China, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea

So, France will organize another opening ceremony for the Winter games in 2030. What will they do next? 🤔

They better not take us down the Alps a gazillion times cause that vertigo gonna kick in. And we still have these games' closing ceremony to watch. Whew.

🤣 You may have just given them an idea for the closing ceremony!

Was it 30 seconds out of a 3 hour broadcast?

I’m the OP of this thread. I obviously was also watching the ceremony live from start to finish. But i was also working so was going back and forth between paying attention to my laptop and paying attention to the tv.

If you go back to all the posts that were written while we were watching it live, no one at the time it was happening, posted how upset they were with the mockery of Christianity and the trans. i think only one poster mentioned they didn’t like the catwalk.

it was only after all the criticism came out and tgat seemed to rile up the people.

like another poster said, it was inappropriate but not a bother

Follow the money to the groups involved in Paris Olympics. It was funded by Putin to expose the morals of the West, since Russians are not allowed to this year Olympics. Putin is a satan.

You’d think the organizers would have learned something from last year’s Bud Light fiasco. But some lessons have to be taught again. I am not watching the Olympics this year on TV. Let me know if there is an exciting clip or two that I can see on Twitter.

Don’t most people watch the Olympics because they love sports? Doesn’t sound like they were your thing, ceremony or not.

I’ll watch the next Olympics if they decide to make it about sports again instead of drag queens mocking Christianity and putting their junk on display.

Wait for Salt Lake in 10 years I guess. 👋

How will they go on without you? 😂

Talk about an over reaction. The show was 4 hours long and you can’t let go of a few minutes you did not like in the opening ceremony. So you plan to boycott the multi-week Olympics. Not an overreaction at all…

Reminds me of the NFL players kneeling to protest the national anthem in 2016. Sure, only a couple of minutes out of the three hour show! Who cares? NFL viewership was down 8% that year and 9.7% the next.

Plus Colin Kaepernick was probably the MVP in getting Trump elected that fall. This year’s version appears to be Thomas Jolly who organized the opening ceremony.

Also the people most upset about this frequently liken Trump to Christ.

Oh now you know the optics of the opening ceremony are a disaster if they’re already trying to pin it on Putin.

Did the athletes enjoy with rain splattered on their faces?? What are they saying?

Putin? As in Trump’s chief benefactor, cheerleader and creditor?

Hollywood and the music industry openly push demonic and Satanic imagery while simultaneously mocking God and Christianity. They don’t even try to hide it anymore. Some of these artists and actors sell their souls for fame and fortune. Look into the recent music and videos from Lil Nas, Eminem and Sam Smith. I’m not even religious but it feels like we are in a battle of good vs evil these days and too many people aren’t paying attention.

Agree with this. This was the most disjointed bizarre opening ceremony I have ever seen. Makes me happy not to live in France.
