Um, no? We don't need a new size every single year. In fact, with all three kids in soccer I've never needed to buy a new uniform every single year for any of them. Greedy clubs do force the issue, though, which is ridiculous. I usually buy a jersey a size up to allow for use in future seasons.

I've yet to meet a single family that actually needs a full uniform set every single year. It is a scam. 100%.

DD was considering switching ECNL clubs but now I'm not so sure. What is the climate like at McLean. I've heard many many things about parents and coaches and how things are done. Anyone care to elaborate before we attempt to break in to the Brave Union sandwich?

Union is okay. The players love the coaches. Depending on the team's roster size, playing time can be hard since you can only roster 18. Only the best players will get playing time. Communication with the parents is not great; everything is last minute. It depends on where you live; commuting to the field can be challenging (traffic around Tysons sucks). Parking at LP Field sucks, and no real bathroom.

My DD was at a previous local club and switched to McLean and it has been great- likes the coaching staff, gets good coaching, likes teammates, things seem less political, families are friendly. Overall has been a good experience

This is fake. The posters confirmed and double confirmed the announcement was supposed to be today. Some VDA coach or GA coach posted this rumor to drive players to their tryouts. This is very sad and people should reflect on their lives. These are sick people.
