Thanks. It says We've worked hard to craft our rankings as a blend of student and parent reviews alongside dependable data. I can't find what data they are using. Their data for district wide ranking is useless. It will be interesting to see what they use for individual schools. |
The public boosters will try to debunk the ranking because it doesn’t support their narrative.
The ranking is consistent with other rankings and general knowledge about the strength of these schools. |
McLean HS is a Fairfax County Public School. |
Yep. They wouldn’t be criticizing it if it supported their argument. |
Why don't you present data used for ranking? No need to debunk or support anything. Everyone can read and make up their own mind. |
It seems like a useless ranking then. |
Once again — that’s for districts. Not individual schools. |
You are right. Mt bad. |
No it’s not. Someone above posted the K-12 ranking methodology. https://www.niche.com/k12/rankings/methodology/ |
They don't take MAP. They take ERBs which are harder than MAP. My kid has done birth. Her scores on the MAP testing were significantly higher (96% and above) vs. her private school ERBS (math 92%) and (English 67%).The fact that you do VERY little writing or analysis in MCPS definitely hurt her compared to other private school kids. |
Did any of you private school parents look at the posted ranking? If you did, y'all ain't too bright. Now let see if y'all can figure it out. |
We all see that in the top 20, the top private schools are ranked higher than non magnet public schools. If you’re at Poolsville or TJ then kudos. This thread is about W schools, and there is only one in he ranking and it’s at the bottom at 18. |
I know what this idiot is getting at. He is looking at the number ranking assigned to public and private schools. Niche doesn’t assign numbers when looking at both private and public schools together, but they do rank them in an order on the list. Niche also assigns numbers for Catholic school rankings separately as well as just private or public schools amongst themselves. You can play with the list by using the filters. I know you public school families are smart enough to figure it out. |
My goodness. You're really that dumb ? Let me give you a clue: (private, public). Let see if you can now figure it out. |
