Match challenged person posting about it, lol. |
Who are you and what was your question? |
If only looking at MCPS, it's only one magnet and Whitman. McLean is a private school in Potomac. |
My question is posted in the post you responded to. |
You aren’t wealthy if you are looking at private school as a ROI.
You are likely well off, but certainly not rich. Same with homes. |
Ranking has 50% weight for state assessment proficiency, SAT/ACT scores etc. These scores have 1 to 1 relationship with socioeconomic status of families. Obviously only handful of publics are going to appear in such lists. |
Private school kids don’t take state tests. But continue to try to justify. |
Why did you not look at private? |
https://www.niche.com/about/methodology/best-school-districts/ 50% weight is for something which is not really telling you much. Ranking has 50% weight for state assessment proficiency, SAT/ACT scores etc. I am not here to convince you, simply share what I found. |
You’re trying to justify why public schools do so poorly in a head to head ranking. |
That link is for their school district ranking, not individual school rankings. |
The ranking is for individual high schools. Do better when looking at data. |
The methodology link PP posted describes their methodology for district rankings. |
Can you share how individual rankings are calculated? |
At least, we established that district ranking of Niche is useless. I couldn't find exact criterion for school ranking and I would love to see that. |
