The big number is the punitive damages because he acted with malice. Trump was the personification of malice throughout the trial, even in front of the jury. He made the case for the maximum damages every day.

Does Trump even have that much money to pay for the nice he inflicted on the woman he raped? Or is he just going to grift the money from MAGAs?

Apparently he’s immediately appealing, so no, he’s apparently not gonna pay anything right now at least, right, or do you have to pay even an appeal is pending ?

You usually have to post a bond in the amount of the judgment in order to appeal. He did that when he appealed the original $5 million judgment and I expect the same will be the case here. But coming up with the $83 million may be harder for him than the $5 million.

That’s true, but how many people who have already been ordered to pay out nearly $90 million in damages for defamation are talking about what they’ll do differently “the next time”? Anyone who could control themselves would try to avoid further defaming people.

Yes, she was aggressive and she was very ignorant of how to act in court and how to actually follow the rules in court. The judge repeatedly told her that she was not doing things right and how to do them. She behaved like a first year law student who had no idea how to behave in a courtroom. It's amazing how far she pushed the patience of the judge with her ignorance of how to do her actual job.

Here are just a few of the cases where she showed she has no idea how to be a courtroom attorney. Her behavior is like the lawyer's version of the Keystone Cops.

Trump has burned through all the legitimate law firms, if not in actual practice, then by reputation. Who wants to be associated with the guy who keeps hopping on social media to announce and brag about his crimes and then stiffs them on the bill?

What feels inappropriate about it? I’m no lawyer but there are rules and ways to do things. I know this wasn’t a criminal trial and thus couldn’t be “overturned” because of a lawyer doing their job wrong but they have to follow the rules. Trump’s fault for being a general screw up and loser who never pays and ignored his legal team’s advice for years. Here’s the result.
