Really?

They're tacky, grasping weirdos. Second only to the Kardashians in their fakeness. Valuable brand my ass. Maybe across the pond, but not in the US.

You can say what you want by they are worth $600 million dollars. That seems valuable to me.

Right? If it was worthless Brooklyn wouldn’t be so mad.

Exactly and I just have to add- they are nothing like the Kardashians! The Beckham brand was built on top of both of their successful first careers (sports and music). They aren't "famous for being famous." They actually had some credibility.

People respect people who are self made. They have less tolerance for the spoiled kids acting up.

Meh. David Beckham is a great soccer player. Victoria Beckham was in a band that had its 15 minutes of fame and is now famous for being married to David and being really skinny.

The Spice Girls had a little more than 15 minutes of fame. They were the biggest girl band for about 5 years with world tours and movies etc. Victoria was allegedly making about $75 million a year during the peak years. Based on her tax filings, she still makes 2 million a year from her past singing career. Her clothing brand also did really well for a few years back in the early 2010s.

The Kardashian empire was built on a pee tape. That’s not the same thing as being a top international professional athlete or pop star and designer. You can make fun of the Spice Girls but touring is no joke. They’ve been smart about building their wealth and you never hear about them treating staff or really anyone badly. This is really out of left field from Brooklyn.

You are underplaying their accomplishments quite a bit. They are very self-made. They parlayed their initial successes (which took work, especially David, when younger) into more sustainable long-term businesses. He is the president and an owner of Miami FC among other things. She has her fashion label and a makeup line among other things. They may not be Pelz-level but their kids grew up in luxury.

The Beckhams are in their 50s acting like high schoolers.

They have raised a monster and are paying the price. But David has said sometimes you hae to let the kids make their mistakes. Brooklyn will come crawling back at some point.

And yet somehow amassed a fortune. Their parents didn’t just hand it to them. Or make them show up for a photo shoot once in awhile, which seems like a pretty small ask in the scheme of things. But Brooklyn just can’t handle it.

My theory about their vow renewal is that it’s not really about “creating new memories” because the first wedding was ruined, but rather they (she) simply wanted new photos because Nicola became a brunette and wanted updated wedding photos to reflect her new (much more flattering) look than the brassy blonde with dark roots from the first wedding.

She’s wedding obsessed and yet we’re supposed to believe Brooklyn is big mad about a dress and dance years later? She’s making a fool of him and he’s too dim to see it.

+1. The Spice Girls weren't a one-hit wonder. They were a household name in the 90s. It's laughable to say she had 15 minutes of fame. Then Victoria pivoted to another career before you could do that simply by posting on Instagram.

Brooklyn's "takedown" of his parents is shameful. He's not lifting the curtain on anything top-secret. He's having a temper tantrum.

If this is just a PR scam to establish their relevance for a reality tv show deal, then everyone should boycott their press moving forward.

My NYT alert this morning was literally this: Greenland, Davos, and Brooklyn Beckham.

GMA just did a segment.

This is bananas.

No family (especially celebs at this level) should have international media coverage of family drama…sparked by a wedding that happened years ago. This is either the most toxic family on the planet or a Hollywood stunt.

If they were toxic I’d expect a little more than this. The allegations are amusing and not shocking.

That’s your opinion. I think a MIL not correcting the behavior of a guest rudely calling her the most beautiful person in the room on her son’s wedding day is shameful. I think trying to restrict an adult child’s use of their own name is shameful.

Maybe Brooklyn and Nicola are awful people. Don’t know them and don’t care to know them. But I do think that not accepting your adult son’s wife after they’ve been married for years is not mature adult behavior by Posh and Becks.

Oh so you’re one of those anti MIL wackadoodles. The only shameful behavior is two grown ass adults crying about such things in public when they haven’t worked a day in their lives and have never experienced hardship. It’s extremely tone deaf in today’s climate.

?

Airing dirty laundry in public isn’t normal.

You sound like one of those wackadoodles who thinks they know about the lives of anonymous posters on the internet where there are dozens of people posting at the same time.

Bizarre that you want to defend the hard lives of the elder Beckhams, who are living off their names, past fame and passive income. I doubt the elder Beckhams or Brooklyn and his wife work particularly hard by the standard of someone with a full-time job. But maybe you know them (or are one of those “wackadoodles” who spend their days reading about celebrities and feel like they’re your best friends.)
