Who brings up Potomac above in the conversation? They are a joke of a program. Why are they even in conversation? They should be in lower division as should Bullis.
did someone forget to drink their coffee or take their Xanax this morning?

We are talking about HS lacrosse...
good for Potomac!

Do I think they could ever get to the level of the Saints or VISI or SR, I highly doubt it but it makes the ISL a better conference overall if they can remain competitive.

Let's be real, Potomac has never put a huge emphasis on athletics in both its boy and girl athletic offerings.

I heard 17-10 Visi, with most of the lead happening at the end. Closer game than expected.

Ouch. SR having a less then season compared to where they were ranked at the start. What’s up?

Potomac has no subs so that makes sense.

That is interesting that Potomac can't field a full team with an adequate number of subs. Note that they have another tough opponent today from the lower ISL division.

Excellent job on the rankings again this week - well done. I also like Madison at #4 - they have had steady upward trajectory performance wise all year while Yorktown/LB have had ups and downs. Right now I'm pretty confident Madison would escape Yorktown (esp. with recent Langley result) and would be pretty close but get past LB as well (just given their Robinson game was really not competitive at all). Cluster of teams from WestPo on down (WestPo, Westfields, Oakton, Woodson) are all pretty much even and could beat/lose to each other any evening. Couple last regular season games and district playoffs should help 1 or 2 get firmer hold on #8-10 slots. Thanks again for doing rankings each week - definitely has made season enjoyable.

How are WCAC Playoffs shaping up? Can anyone beat GC? They seem really strong this year.

Top team in ISL A division moves up to AA for the next season and bottom team in AA moves down to A. This happens every year based on record from previous year. Every ISL team sport works this way - basketball, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, etc…

For next year (Spring ‘23) in girls lacrosse Bullis will be in ISL A division and NCS will move up to ISL AA.

Sorry - correction. Flint Hill is at bottom of ISL AA this year. Flint Hill will move down to ISL A division. NCS will be the team to move up to AA. You can see the standings on the ISL DC website here: https://www.islathletics.com/sport/0/3

The move down makes sense. I think for other sports the promotion is based on the A-level tournament (my daughter's team won the A-level tournament at a different sport but not the regular season and we were told they are being moved up -- she's a senior so I might not have paid full attention).
