Don't have time to put on lotion after showers and get itchy as a result. I do keep lotion at my desk at work, but I can only put it on my arms and legs (obviously, not on my back or hip, or other random places that get dry or itchy).
I've used moisturizing body washes before, but they don't help. Any other ideas? |

Take warm (not hot) baths with Baby Oil added to the water. This'll moisturize everything and no need for an extra step later to do lotion.
If you don't want to do baby oil, you could also try the Aveeno oatmeal baths. But I like the baby oil better for my super-dry, itchy skin. Hint: make sure you clean out the tub well afterwards so it's not slippery for the next person coming behind you. |
| How do you not have time to put on lotion after showers? Leave the lotion on the counter and it takes literally 15 seconds. |
| You have time to post this. You have time to put on lotion. |
| It takes 5 seconds. I think you can manage. |

Are any of you moms of young children? I've had to cut out so much of my beauty routine after becoming a mom, and lotion is one of the casualties. If you don't have anything constructive to say, move on to another post.

| You deal with getting up two minutes earlier. (Mom of two under two) |
I am! I am! I still have time to apply lotion. |
Yes, I am. Two kids, 17 months apart. My showers and blowdrys are much quicker now, as is my lotion application. There is just no way around it, especially in the dry weather. |
| They have in-shower lotion that you slather on in the shower and rinse off, but some of it stays on. I like that stuff a lot. But if you don't have 20 seconds to rub some lotion on your arms and legs after the shower you probably can't do it in the shower either. |

I hate applying lotion. I also hate taking the time to go to the bathroom. But, When its really dry, I'll drop my drawers as I'm brushing my teeth and lotion up my abdomen, hips and bum.
If I forget, I'll absolutely take a container of riveting calming cream to the bathroom at work and apply it when I use the restroom. |
| Ha! Riveting? Eucerin. |
I was going to suggest the same thing. I love the stuff. You don't have to wait for it to soak in like regular lotion. http://www.amazon.com/Olay-Moisture-Shower-Lotion-Butter/dp/B000NRQ89M |
| Drink more water throughout the day. |
I know how you feel, OP. And I WOH on top of everything else. I am the same way and I am the one who does the baby oil/Aveeno Oatmeal in the bath, so I can be doing two things at one time: washing, and moisturizing. I also don't wear contacts anymore and just got some cool frames and new glasses, so this saves me time also! Can you tell I am not a morning person and thus like to streamline my morning routine as much as possible?!?!?
