Yeah, there are going to be a LOT of disappointed people. In past years, at least the pain was distributed out in small doses--okay, I was in the 300s for Mundo Verde, but the Inspired Teaching results are still pending....

Well I have a relatively decent EOTP IB school that all IB kids got in for last year, so I'm happy with that outcome. If I get nothing? Yeah, that would suck.

Yea, I kinda like this space of possibility. Monday will likely feel like the Lamb results X 100

I agree, OP! Even if the results suck, I still want them.

Sounds like a line from a horror movie!

the ending of Planet of the Apes

OP here...I wonder how many families will actually *not* get matched at all.

OP again. I prefer my pain in a single dose. I'm naturally optimistic, so I am doubly disappointed with each piece of disappointing news. Just hit me with it once, please!

I suspect a lot of people applied and didn't put any safety schools down and won't get matched.

I'm assuming those people have a backup plan...

Some do, but I'm sure many have the backup plan of just bitching about how the system isn't working.

Well OP - we only have 4 more days! That's not too bad considering we've been waiting this long.

I wonder if people without a backup plan will be treated better by the lottery. What if there is a secret element to the lottery that tries to get every kid matched somewhere? We were applying for 5th and only applied to one school - our backup plan is to stay at our EOP DCPS for 5th and then apply to 12 schools for 6th.

It would be so nice to get in and never worry about doing the lottery again!
