Go Warhawks!!!

Tonight was sadly all about the zebras in Vienna. For having 4 refs out there it might have been the worst called game all year . Why have a box referee if he doesn't ref the box and gives the Madison coach the red carpet. Madison Coach and his ref crew win again... Absolutely mind blowing calls and non calls. Sad that a state playoff game was so heavily influenced. VA Public lacrosse has really fallen on sad times.
pretty sure Madison had more penalties called on them than Battlefield

This is false. Good try though. Numbers don't lie.

Don’t see you whining about the call given to Battlefield when it was tied 6-6 in the fourth quarter. I believe “the biased refs” called a push from behind against a Madison player that literally checked a battlefield kid to his chest with his hands together. Terrible call in a tight game in Battlefield’s favor, so I have no idea what you’re talking about in terms of the “biased reffing”

Why is it with Battlefield, both boys and girls parents, it's either "injuries affected us" (but of course not anyone else) and/or "bad reffing" every time?? Couldn't they once just say, man our #5 had an incredible goal at the end (which he most certainly did) to tie up game and send to overtime, then we won faceoff, called timeout and had first possession - but we unfortunately made tough mistake passing around and Madison capitalized at other end. Tough way to lose but great fight our boys showed etc etc. you know, like how other teams lose gracefully?
Neutral observer; it appeared refs were biased toward the Warhawks. Despite this BF clawed back and were in it at the end with a chance to win. A really bad pass resulted in a turnover and Madison capitalized on a beautiful score, cross body to top shelf pipe. Kudos to both teams, I thought the atmosphere was electric, both fan bases were respectful, and both teams put on an absolute nail biter of a game.

Those aren't the matchups just a couple of days from now.
But your predictions for next year are probably rock solid.

You're questioning dads who ran cross country in high school. Just let them give us their assessment of lacrosse refereeing, and how it affects their son and daughter.

It's at Briar Woods at 10am.

Thanks. So dumb and bizarre how VHSL has ruined the championship game with the rotating location.

I missed on this one. They were better this season, but underachieved.

Yorktown will choke game away at Indy.

Cosby face off is a big advantage, control the ball and put the pressure on Indy who has been known to play sloppy when they've faced better competition.

Don’t know this Indy team seems to have something, luck or karma or something. I think it’s gonna take a lot to beat them.

They graduate several of their better players, but plenty coming back (2 starting poles, goalie, several middies and attackmen). But next year, they will fall off the cliff. Their JV was very bad, so not many players coming up to fill gaps in graduation in 2027. But, they will be very good next year too.

Interestingly I believe Dulles South did 14U rec teams by highschool this year? Is that true?

WP is losing their main offensive play driver (and most of their big guns on offense). They'll struggle more to score against better teams next year than they did this year (and it was a challenge this year). We'll see how well good coaching overcomes that shortfall.

It totally should be at a college like Richmond or Virginia, it’s an absolute shame that the boys won’t get the location they deserve for battling it out these last few months, especially considering how easy it would be to get them on those fields and how fun it would be for them. Even though my sons team is out, im sure other parents agree that this league is extremely poorly managed, especially when it comes to playoff format and locations.

Hard to take your 2027 predictions seriously when you don’t know the matchups for this Tuesday.

Can’t tell if this is an Oakton parent or a Langley parent
