| Hi ladies - I just got my BFP after my third IUI (gonal f plus trigger) at Shady Grove. I have a beta scheduled for Monday but was curious what the next series of appts will be - how many times do I go in for a beta - when do I go in for an ultrasound, how long until I switch to a normal ob? Thanks!! |
|
Did two blood tests to see that the beta was doubling and then an u/s at 6 weeks. Did a final lap thanking everyone and went off to my OB.
Congratulations. |
| Sorry--that the HCG was doubling |
| You'll usually move to a regular OB after a 6w or an 8w u/s. congratulations!!! |

Congrats! I did IVF and had 3 betas and 2 ultrasounds.
I scheduled my u/s as late as I could - 6w4d and 8w4d - instead of coming in at 6w0d as I could have. Sometimes between 6-7 weeks the heartbeat isn't there yet, but things are still ok. I delayed so that I'd have a better chance of seeing the heartbeat. |
| Three betas and then an u/s between 6 - 7 weeks. Then I went to my OB's office for a sono and check up at 8 weeks. |
| I had some bleeding, so ended up with several extra ultrasounds before being released to my OB at 9 weeks. If all is normal, though, after your betas, you will probably have one ultrasound at 6 weeks and then "graduate." Good luck! |
I had 3 betas and 3 ultrasounds. It is normal to only have 2 u/s. I got an extra one b/c I took a goodbye gift to my RE (we had a long history together) and he offered to do one extra just because I was there and he was doing monitoring that day

| None! Didn't even go for a beta, I had my trusty FRER. Went to OB at 11 weeks. |
Same here except the third ultrasound was because there was a slight SGH he wanted me to stay on meds until a full 10 weeks. |
| I went to the OB at 11 weeks. |
| 3 betas and then 2 u/s (6 weeks and 8 weeks). I saw my regular OB at 10 weeks. NT scan with the high-risk OB at 12 weeks. |
| 3 betas and 2 u/s. I was released into the care of my regular OB once a heartbeat was confirmed. |
| Three betas and three u/s until week 8 after IVF. We had twins. |
Were you on meds? Part of my beta was testing my estrogen(E2) and progesterone (P4). |
