625k HHI , we have -
2013 Toyota Sienna Limited All Wheel Drive (family errand car) 2014 Ford F350 Platinum (Hubby commute car) 2013 Porsche Carrera 4S - date/fun car Total sticker was about 225k altogether, paid in cash. |
| You are the winner, congratulations. |
lol, +1. |
| HHI less than yours and we have two cars in the $70-$80k range. |
| Seriously? |
That seems quite excessive for your income. We have a higher income and spent quite a bit less (and our cars are older). Maybe think about selling the Porsche? |
| As little as I possibly can. My cars are filled with cheerios and mud stains and I drip my morning caffeine all over the seat. I dent my cars....never on purpose. But why would I spend good money on that? |
| $200k, Toyota Camry, Honda Odyssey |

I'm European. In general our identity is not wrapped up in our cars like Americans.
We have a 10 year Toyota Corolla. We have a more recent Mazda 5, the most wonderful compact car with 6 seats, to accommodate our growing family. They look quite at home in our leafy Bethesda neighborhood. (The Cadillacs are mostly in the Wheaton area, with Mexican drug cartel stickers - OK, just kidding!) |

2000 honda civic and recent honda odyssey. Hhi 1.5m
Cars are literally the last thing I'd spend money on. |
Interesting. I'm American but DH is European and very much into his cars. He drives nice cars but he's also very into the mechanics and the show Top Gear. |
| OP, I guess that you and your husband have many insecurities about your sex organs.... |
|
HHI 130k
2006 Subaru Ipmreza outback 2011 Subaru outback I forget how much they cost... we paid cash. They are both great. In my husband's dreams he would have a porsche... but we've got more important things to spend money on in the future. And just as an aside, the idea of a "date/fun" car sounds crazy to me. |

HHI of $170k.
We have a 2002 Subaru Impreza Wagon and a 2002 Honda CRV. We just closed a deal on a 2014 Subaru Forester to replace the Honda. Paying cash and DH plans to drive it 15 years. We will likely replace the Impreza in 2 years with something like an Accord. |

HHI 520K (ish)
We actually just bought a new car Audi Q5 Hybrid - I think it ended up being around 53K. It is our only car that DH uses for work and we use for bigger errands and trips. I don't need a car as I can walk to work. |
