no, what was it?

Essentially that the goals of the war are to destroy Irans missile capability and naval capabilities. Then Trump came out and said we’ve basically done those things.

If we destroyed their naval capabilities, why are tankers afraid to sail? If we destroyed their missile capabilities, why are they shooting missiles precisely at targets throughout the region?

I guess the Qataris gave Trump a phone call and told him the money they invested will be pulled out if he doesn’t end this war.

Trumps a man compromised by so many other world leaders that it’s hard to even keep up

It’s obviously a lie. Trump is never going to admit he lost. He had to say he won so he can get out. Of course, the Iranians have now learned they can throw the global economy into chaos whenever they want. That used to be theory. Now they know they can do it.

And all he's done in Iran was entrench the hardliners. It's made everything worse.

Exactly. Instead of having an opportunity for actual regime change with the previous leader passed naturally, Trump has opened the door for his worse son and now we will have to deal with him for the next 40-50 years.

He replaced one Khomeini with another Khomeini. What a dumbass!

Come on. He’s now ended another war! That’s nine wars ended! You guys just have TDS

Lol

Does he really think he can just decide he's done and there won't be any ramifications? It's just insane.

Replace MAGA with Israel and you’re right. MAGA is not happy about another forever war

A lot of them think that this is going to last a few weeks, and it's a small price to pay for "peace and prosperity forever". I wish I were kidding.

No one thinks this, but nice try. If anything, many people are happy to see a terrorist regime defeated, or at least greatly diminished. Why aren’t you?

Israel is taking a lot of damage but the Iranian are not going to defeat them with a bombing campaign. This should set Israel back for a few years though.

Israel isn't worried about any cost. They know the American taxpayers will work and pay for it all.

Right. If they’re leveled, they’ll just rebuild their infrastructure on our dime. A bigger problem for Israel is how many Israelis will get out of dodge and flee the country (which is the smartest thing to do). There are some estimates that over 1.5 people fled the country after 10/7 and after the 12 day war last year. If so, that is significant because that’s more than the amount dead in Gaza. Israel already is in a demographics race with Palestinians so it isn’t good if Israelis are leaving. The military in Israel also has a serious problem with PTSD, suicide, disorganization, and reservists not showing up for duty.

I honestly think Israel’s hit their famed 80 year curse with Netanyahu. The first two kingdoms of Israel declined at the 80 year mark.

It just seems like they need these wars because without it, Israeli internal divisions between the leftist liberals and religious extremists in Israel (that are worse than the ayatollahs and think women should not be seen, heard, or visible in public at all) would break down their society. Israel is a diverse nation of groups from all around the world with little in common besides Jewish identity. The only unifying force in Israel is its military and its contempt for its neighbors (the Arabs or Muslims) however you wanna call it. Technically, Iranians aren’t Arabs so Muslims I guess is the better word for it although many in Lebanon are not Muslim but Christian’s.

This is the last remaining war on netanyahu's clean break policy. What they need and what made Iraq palatable to the public, is a false flag attack to the degree of 9/11 in order to get everyone on board with attacking Iran again. Otherwise Netanyahu has lost out on his last chance to take down Iran.

If we had had allies and a real justification and had supported the people on the ground protesting such that when the previous leader died of natural causes, there could be a national take back, it could have been possible. But, what Trump and Netanyahu did here will turn both iranians and many others across the middle east to be even more anti-american and more anti-israel.

Netanyahu significantly overplayed his hand.

Trump and his useful fools--vance, rubio, hegseth et al, fail to understand that the devil you know is better than a new devil. They also fail to understand that Iranians have infinite patience in the manner in which they choose how and when to retaliate.

Yes, he can do this. Who’s gonna hold him accountable to this? We’ve already seen the cult and the media that he’s just purchased. We’ll just go along with them. The emperor has no clothes.

It would be pretty telling if he decides to stop the war because he talked to Putin for an hour.

Bibi will not let him walk away. That is why Israel bombed the Iranian oil facilities.

WTH are you even talking about? The other countries in the ME who are generally more aligned with Iran have taken the side of the US and Israel because Iran bombed them. Kind of proves that Iran is a terror regime determined to cause unrest around the world.

+1 As a no Jew, I can tell you I haven’t seen anyone or anything causing anti Jewish sentiment as much as Netanyahu. That man is a curse on Israel as well the Jewish diaspora.
