The Trump Women and their Fashion Mishaps - Part Three

The two women on the left are USPS; the woman next to Melania is Barbara’s daughter Dorothy. The never coatless Melania is a mystery indeed - how someone in their 50s can endure all those layers indoors is something to be studied and researched, but she does look really great here. Although very orange in up close pics.

The dark haired woman on the left is Alice Yates, CEO of the Bush Foundation. Agree on the makeup!

"Caped jacket"? She's just resting her jacket on her shoulders.

+1 Again, it’s like she’s a bot programmed to always wear a coat inside or else.

F***ing weird, man.

I can't believe I'm defending her, but it's a stylish way to wear layers. It's not weird if you are in-between seasons, in-and-out of air conditioned spaces, or of a certain age where hot flashes have you taking off and putting on clothes all day (and maybe I speak from experience there). She gets clothes right most of the time.

It’s a blazer. That’s not weird.

You wear blazers draped over you like that? I've never seen someone do that in real life.

Same, it was very 1980s.

Melania always looks like she is hiding something - the only reason I would wear a jacket over just my shoulders is because I didn’t want to wear it but I either couldn’t zip up the skirt in the back all the way or I sat in something and didn’t have time to change my skirt before the event.

I said this in volume 2 or something but I wonder if Melania just runs really cold — she sometimes also wear gloves indoors. I am always freezing and it weirdly got worse with menopause so I am sympathetic. I was sorting of hoping she could make indoor gloves a thing for all of us with raynauds!

“Let me think what I should pick from my closet. Maybe it I have a bad hair day I can pin it on my maid. #MAGA!”

Outerwear is a big part of my wardrobe (maybe because I live in NYC and have to be outside a lot), and I drape coats and jackets over my shoulders like that all of the time. Sometimes you want your arms free from the bulk and you either (1) are cold and want the extra warmth, or (2) don't really need the warmth but don't want to carry a coat or jacket draped over your arm.

Does Melania have a short torso? So often the wait of her skirts is super high, and she always looks a bit poochy, although not when she's wearing pants.

same skirt?

The caped jacket is weird, not qualifier needed. She does look great. I think we see so many pictures of her and pick her appearance apart, that you forget she is actually model gorgeous and notably not Trumpy a la Noem or Kim Guilfoyle in her appearance.

But you’re not doing indoor photo ops as FLOTUS. This is a quirk of Melania’s. It’s not a big deal, but it’s just odd enough to be noticeable and set her apart.

No she has a long torso (although her chest makes it look a bit shorter). Not sure how old you are but with menopause I prryyy much only want high waisted things. Otherwise the waist cuts right across my menopause pooch and is uncomfortabel. I think it’s hard not to look poochy in a stiff material skirt like that — I stopped wearing my denim skirt for this reason.

Or you could have posted it.

DP. Here you go, harpies.

Ooh, I love it. Great look.

It's the opposite of what Barbara Bush would have worn. But it's a good outfit. Kind of a weird choice for this particular event. But she looks good and stylish.

Why would you think she has to dress like Barbara Bush in order to honor her? How weird.
