Given more 2011 girls from McLean made FVU than from Brave, bet there are some upset parents.

Where will Brave players go? Seems like there is so much talent between McLean and Brave but 18 spots only for both.

Assuming most go back to Vienna RL team.

Several are staying with Union to include a couple of dual rostered spots. Others are going to SYC and a couple to Arlington and NVA.

There are 2011G from Brave that are going to Arlington?

Yes, one.

I thought it was only one from the 2011G Union that is going to Arlington 2011G. Is there a Brave 2011G going to 2011G Arlington?

Believe Arlington 2011G are picking up 2 girls. Thought both were from McLean.

One from Mclean, one from Brave

Actually Arlingtion 2011G is getting at least three new players -- one from VA Union, one from Brave, and the goalie from McLean RL.

That’s at least 19 then

Wow! This is bad for the 2011G FVU. They are already thin on talent and having those two field players leave is a blow to them. I would not be surprise the few decent players left may tryout for Bethesda and may be gone if offers are received. They just will forfiet their deposit and move on.

The remaining few decent players that stay will be monitoring how things progress with this new FVU for another season and if the losing trend continues the will be going else where next year (Arlington, NVA or Bethesda).

In high school any decent talent would like to be on a team that makes the ECNL team playoffs so they have the ability to showcase their talent by playing with equilvalent talent.

I dont think the players that have left by choice or the club’s choice are irreplaceable. And why in the world would NVA be an option over FVU at the 2011 age group? If you’re going to stir the pot, at least say some things that make sense.

What planet are you living on. This year NVA 2011G has beaten 2011G Union twice;

3-1 and 3-0. Not close. So you are the one not making sense.

Union was missing their best player and had two injured but playing players out there for one of the games.

How is NVA doing overall against the other VA teams? What place are they in the league? Last out of all the VA teams including Union and Brave and sitting in 9th out of 13th.

So you’re claiming that a team that will be compromised of players from teams that are both higher in the standings than NVA will be looking to go to NVA?

Who said she is the best player on the team. She did pay the game that they lost 3-1 along with the others that you claim were playing injured.

After all the games are played, NVA and Braves will surpass Union in the standings you watch.

Still none of union, brave or NVA will make the playoffs lol. The whole thing is too much marketing and parents politics. Go 300 pages !!

Union, Brave and NVA are sending teams to the playoffs across multiple age groups.

Agreed, Union season does not end well. Players out for injuries, coach playing different formations every game, morale low b/c players know they are leaving, etc.

Talking about 12 year olds, right? Just checkin

Sounds like the club to join as the new and improved FVU moving forward

Exactly right. Notice that everyone is talking about the 2011s meaning these are 2011 parents thumping their chests. Sad. Notice that no one is talking about the older / high school ages because those parents know quite a bit more than the idiots on this thread. Pay attention to your own kid’s development and leave everyone else out of it. Get a life and stop trying to live your life through your daughter’s 7th grade soccer team.

2011s are 6th and 7th graders. Are you all insane
Anonymous
It is true that they are 7th graders but the point of this thread is to discuss how the merger helps/hinders development and strength of team. And the club/coach/parent politics involved with the merger and what effect it will have on the team in the fall. Is it speculation--yes. But that doesnt mean people shouldn't talk about it.

Well said, yall should be focusing on group training together with top players regardless of club nor league affiliation. Eventually you have enough for pick-up games, and small sided tournaments. Rankings!? LOL yall focused on the wrong things. Its a long road development i is all that matter at 12 years old

You just keep on club hopping and follow those wins. Seriously take some advice from the parents of older kids.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Do yourself a favor and tell your daughters that. They should focus on their own development — getting better on the ball. And hopefully they love the game enough not to quit.

So kids are playing hurt????
