Bunch of cowards. Happy to ban abortion, planning to ban abortion, but they don’t want to lose based on how people vote on their ideas so… they’ll just be quiet as mice.

Multiple doctors told me that the overturning of Roe v. Wade, in June of 2022, exacerbated the crisis, as practitioners retired early or moved to states where they’d have more liberty to make medical judgments. So who, exactly, was supposed to handle the extra deliveries in women’s-health deserts such as Caldwell County? What would become of women in remote locales who experienced a hemorrhage or a ruptured fallopian tube?”

This is long but worth reading. It’s possible that a woman has already died due to Texas’s lack of care for women. OBGyns agree that this patient was so sick so early that she should have been offered a therapeutic abortion to end the pregnancy that killed her. No guarantee that she would have made that choice, but no one made it available to her so we’ll never know.

I can all but guarantee that several women have died as a result of the draconian, authoritarian forced birth policies being forced on America.

You know, I read this. It was supposed to be funny and maybe it was before RvW was overturned, but it sure as heck is not now.

It never was funny and the way women’s health problems are statistically not taken seriously at all is why the GOP was able to sweep away our health care in a minute.

Because the six-week abortion ban they passed last year isn’t extreme enough, a Florida Republican has now introduced legislation that would prohibit nearly all abortions in the state and criminalize the doctors who perform them.

Thanks to a bunch of grassroots volunteers like me, the FL Republican got crushed in tonight's special election. Saw a stat that abortion was #1 issue for Iowa evangelicals who caucused for DeSantis. These people have no idea about women's healthcare and are clearly out of touch with where the rest of the country is. The anti-abortionists have drunk their own kookaid, unaware that it makes their candidates unelectable.

Of course forced birthers groups write the laws; conservatives in general aren’t bright.

And jailing doctors? Enjoy the dwindling number of them in your state, forced birthers.
