With rice and the connection to cancer does anyone still eat it?
Yes.
Rarely. Maybe once a month or once every other month. Which is pretty much the same amount as always.
yes. should i ask what connection to cancer?
I thought the problem was arsenic. Now it's a connection to cancer?
Yes
Yes.
cancer??
Huh?? Yes, I love rice and haven't heard that there's anything wrong with it.
only when I eat sushi maybe once every few months.
OP, can you post a link to your source? I thought the recommendation was to eat it as part of a well balanced diet (in moderation).
Here we go again. OP, what do you think billions of people in rice-eating countries are doing?
thought it was arsenic. Haven't heard anything about cancer. Yes - I still eat it but I soak it for 20 minutes or so before cooking.
Does that help? |
not the PP poster, but yes. It's supposed to "wash off" a significant amount of the arsenic. I'm Asian, and we wash the rice thoroughly before soaking. We soak and drain the water before adding more water to cook it in the rice cooker. |
