Here’s an idea. Brew your own coffee at home instead of a $7.00 Starbucks burnt calorie bomb every day. Gas will feel a lot cheaper that way.

Everyone, quick, make more sacrifices so that we can give billions to criminals and pedophiles instead of having healthcare and free education. If you sick hard enough maybe they will also let you keep part of your social security and fill a potholes once in a while.

Jesus, these people are mental.

Overspending on discretionary items is your idea of fighting back against “the man?”

Enjoy your 1k calorie coffee. Fight the power!

That is your take away??? Realllly missing the boat here. I would stop posting, your idiocy is showing.

Gas is less expensive than four years ago. Did you lose your house, or did everything turn out fine?

False.

In 2022 the average gas price reached $5. That is lower than 2026. People are complaining now.

Now do inflation.

Anything but hold your own party accountable.

This is the fatal Democratic blind spot. Assuming people that aren’t in lockstep with you are MAGA is a symptom of a much larger problem.

The economy has fluctuated for centuries. Adapting your spending habits to the peaks and troughs is called adulting.

You are either with MAGA or you aren't.

And I’m not. You are either correct or you aren’t.

You said gas is less expensive than four years ago, and that is false. What will Trump do to keep it from rising to the $5.07 record that happened later in 2022?

Energy/electricity prices are higher than ever including 2022. Nothing the Trump administration is doing is helpful. The GOP is horrible for energy prices.

Also as someone who hates starbucks and makes my own damn coffee, posting about buying less Starbucks just makes someone sound like a rich elitist toolbag.

Why does the reason matter in your assessment of what you believe is cataclysmic. Gas is either higher than ever, or it isn’t. Don’t make me go back 4 years and quote rationalizations from people here.

Inflation is also down significantly vs. four years ago.

What am I missing? You’re better off than you were four years ago.

Context is important.

Putin invaded Ukraine, gas prices when up. How is that Biden's fault?
Biden inherited a dumpster fire economy because of how Trump handled Covid. Inflation was a global phenomenon and Biden handled it better than most of the world.

Trump raised tariffs. Inflation went up. That is Trump's fault.
Trump waged war with Iran, gas prices went up. That is Trump's fault.

See the difference?

+1

Biden inflation - outside factors
Trump inflation - self inflicted

They feel differently to how people place blame and in turn, how they vote. Especially when overall electricity prices are now higher than ever including under Biden and the only plan appears to be to not care.

Honestly lately - MAGA Gen Z influencers per social media. The same people who also post about MAHA stuff and are slowly realizing that the administration investing in coal mining is not going to help get the mercury out of our water.

The "Starbucks buyers are a millennial avocado toast liberal" thing is verrrry outdated.

What kind of a question is that? People are explaining the cause of suffering as people always do. In the first situation, Biden was managing a situation created by others and therefore helping Americans. In the second situation, Trump is watching the fallout of a situation created by HIM. Trump is hurting Americans. It is pretty simple.

People blamed Biden for high prices when the cause was external factors

Trump campaigned on making prices low. Then Trump turned around and deliberately created a situation which made factors worse. In addition overall electricity prices are higher than ever including under Biden.

People will appropriately place blame on Trump vote accordingly. Why would anyone vote for Republicans who have no interest in helping regular US citizens with affordability? Whose administration has made our economy worse?

I also think Trump doesn't care that he's hurting Americans. He's not capable of empathy, clearly only cares about himself, and has very likely never visited a grocery store or pumped gas in his life.

When you consider he was sent here to inflict pain and destroy the country from within, then you understand this is all intentional and it is working.

Are you better off now than you were four years ago?

It’s a yes or no question.
