Sorry, how did Hilario being angry about Amy’s post spur Leni to blow up this whole thing?

Because in her rambling video where she pretends to not get Amy’s joke, she forget to do the accent. So people started questioning it on Insta. Leni didn’t post from nowhere. She just got the most traction.

Because Hillary responded in a long rant. Her very American accent was noticeable, especially when presented against some curated clips from the past where she had an obvious Spanish accent.

The boys all have a common American name as one of their middle names. I suppose they could always choose to go by one of their middle names when they are older.

What are the other names?

You can look these things up on your own. We don’t discuss children here.

Romeo, Leonardo, and Rafael. It's not discussing the children-- it's discussing the names

They all have a common American name as one of their middle names...Thomas, Charles, David, Lucas. They can always choose to go by one of their middle names as they become older

"The NYU alum and her 62-year-old husband gave all five of their children Spanish names - daughter Carmen Gabriela, 7; son Rafael Thomas, 5; son Leonardo Ángel, 4; son Romeo Alejandro, 2; and son Eduardo 'Edu' Pao Lucas, 3 months"

Nothing wrong with their names per se but they will ''wear' her lie for their entire lives. She knew what she was doing when she gave her children those names. And there is a high likelihood that she told the kids they are of Spanish heritage.

Even for a multicultural family, these names are odd choices. I'm in a bicultural family and we picked names that were familiar in both languages and wouldn't present any pronunciation challenges in either language. We asked other people in our situation and they directed us towards international names like Paul, Lucas, Anna, Maria, etc. I think in the US you can get away with everyone knowing Spanish names but it's still odd, especially since all the names are uniformly Spanish with no exception.

The names are not really an issue...most of them can be easily anglicized if the kids choose to.

PP here. Didn’t Celeste Barber parody Hilaria ages ago? She wasn’t mad back then?

Hilaria responded with a video with an American accent.Leni commented on it, and her tweet got a lot of traction.

Speaking of dopamine, this pair hasn't given us much to work with today. Birds flying. If they think leaving will help, they don't perceive that the issue is their SM use. So in the middle of a pandemic, they will fly away... anyone want to place bets on how many updates we will get from the airplane, the resort etc?

It’s pretty well-documented that her parents have been in Boston up until their retirement when they move to Spain in 2011/2012. I don’t know about Spanish schools but I’m guessing it’s not easy to slide in and out of schools. How could it be, which is why Americans abroad often send their kids to the American School of whatever place they are. In the video, she also said “American” high school when she was talking about the Hilary/Hilaria thing so she leaves the door open to make you wonder was there another non-American high school because most people would just say high school.

Her nuclear family (mom, dad, brother, brother’s Spanish wife, nephew) are the only people living in Spain, but Hilaria said in one of her early videos that about 40 family members came from Spain so it was a “really great party”. Now she is saying family and friends and Ireland said she felt so lucky to meet her “chosen family” at the wedding.

It’s like she leads you don’t the road to believing what she wants you to believe without actually saying it and blames you for getting it wrong because she never said that. That mommy podcast interview is exactly the same way.

There is one scenario I can think of that could explain some things. What if she is actually the product of an affair by one of her not-Spanish Massachsetts parents with a Spanish person? And she traveled back and forth a lot while growing up to see that biological parent? It's probably a farfetched idea, but if something like that happened, it would be an alternate explanation for why she felt so bold and free and justified to embrace a Spanish identity (including going so far as to put on a fake accent and pretend not to know the word for cucumber). Could also explain the vagueness and secrecy around when exactly she was in Spain, and why her husband is defending her. And if she was pressured by family to keep a huge secret like that, well, that could mess up your head. It's probably unlikely, but could be possible.

She clearly resembles both her parents and brother.

It is far-fetched but would also explain why her father didn't walk her down the aisle.

Is that the pic from the Daily Mail? That pic is not from the wedding. It’s been lifted straight from her dad’s FB page and it’s from a gala her parents attended in 2014z

+1. I've seen no proof they were there and their omission from the NYT wedding column is very odd. They have ideal NYT wedding announcement status credentials.

Exactly very odd! I remember after I read the announcement doing some investigating online and fairly quickly finding out she used to be Hilary and who her parents were, I guess no one really cared back then or had more interesting stories to follow.

Her parents (at least her mother) were at the wedding:

Alec Baldwin wed yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas today at downtown Manhattan's St. Patrick's Old Cathedral.

"Hilaria Thomas and Alec Baldwin were married this evening at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in New York City, sharing the occasion with family and friends inside the Cathedral, and Alec warmly receiving congratulations from well-wishing fans on his way into the service," Matthew Hiltzik, (@hiltzikstrat) a friend of the couple, said in a statement released this evening.

Thomas wore a silk magnolia trumpet Amsale gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back neckline accented with crystal buttons, and her mother and Baldwin's daughter from his marriage to Kim Basinger, Ireland Baldwin, also wore Amsale.

Hilaria's mother wore a navy jersey sheath gown with a cowl neckline and Ireland Baldwin wore a slate silk chiffon gown with a strapless neckline and a lightly pleated bodice.“

Even if Hilario was the product of a love affair with a latin man, it doesn't explain the accent.

OMG. You should be her publicist. Wait, are you? That would be an amazing twist/comeback, if she could get people to buy it.

Totally agree! It's obvious with their high powered careers they weren't around much. Also Hilaria basically stole their alternative medicine lifestyle schtick and marketed it as her own.
I wonder what lies she told her parents to keep them quiet about the whole Spanish heritage thing

Daddy issues! Trying to create a connection where there is none.

Hold on DCUM, keep this story close to the chest before some silver fox out of central casting claims to be Hill Air Ee O’s bio dad.
