Kensington Forest Glen waitlist?

Anonymous
Just found out we're number 52. Doesn't sound good, although they said they're contacting current families and should have a better idea of our chances by the end of March. Anyone have experience with their waitlist?

I'm in the 50s as well. Really want to get in as we trek all the way to Bethesda now and it is much more expensive. One of my neighbors told me they called her when her son was 5! Hopefully they've improved the system since then. (her kid is 12 now)

She didn't get a call until her kid was 5!? Yikes. I'm trying to get into the 2s class.

Me too. Fingers crossed.

What is the cost for a 4 year old at KFG? We are currently at Lynbrook but live in SS. I didn't realize there was a significant tuition difference.

I believe KFG and Lynbrook are the same. I meant we are trekking to Bethesda to Children in the Shoe which is currently $99/day for my 18 month old. Price goes down at higher ages, but still much more than MCCA programs.

Anyone get on update on where they stand on the list?

I was told to call back in May...

I just called today. They haven't figured out which current families are coming back yet. They said I'd hear late May.

Ugh. So frustrating. Everything else is nearly double the cost and much less convenient.

Wish they had an infant program too!

How many hours a day for that price?

For the $99? They're open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.

I called on Friday and I am still in the 50s. They said no chance for fall enrollment in the 2s program. Where are other people considering? I need full time including after care.

Do you all mind sharing how long you've been on the list, for what class, and if/when you've been offered a spot? I just moved to the area and signed DS up for the 2s class. I was told that we have no shot until he is 3 (18 months from now). I'm wondering if that's a safe bet or if I should look for other options.

Also, 09:39, did you find any other options? I also need full-time care and I'm not familiar with others preschools in the area. Well, there are a lot of montessori programs but they are all far too expensive for our family.

Thanks!
